Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Product Leader (AVP/VP) to own and scale the company’s user monetization, growth, gamification, and retention strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Monetization Strategy: Design and execute product-led monetization levers (subscriptions, freemium/premium tiers, in-app purchases, ad models, etc.) to unlock new revenue streams.
- User Growth & Retention: Build features, funnels, and journeys that accelerate new user activation, increase DAU/MAU stickiness, and drive long-term retention.
- Gamification & Engagement: Conceptualize and launch gamification frameworks (loyalty programs, rewards, leaderboards, challenges, community features) to enhance user delight and lifetime value.
- Data-Driven Experimentation: Drive A/B tests, cohort analyses, and growth experiments to validate hypotheses and scale winning initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, and business teams to deliver high-impact product initiatives at speed.
- User Insights: Leverage user research, behavioral data, and market benchmarking to inform product roadmap decisions.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a strong product team focused on growth, monetization, and engagement.
Key Requirements
- 8–15 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years leading growth/monetization/retention for a consumer-facing app at scale (millions of DAU/MAU).

What You Will Do:
As the Vice President of Engineering, you will lead Teradata's India-based software development organization for our AI Platform Group (Analytics, AI, Apps, Agents and UX) through its next phase of transformation. You will own the execution of our product roadmap across key technologies including Vector Store, Agent platform, Apps, user experience, and the enablement of AI/ML-driven use-cases at scale. You will work at the pace of a startup and build as well as lead a team of 150+ engineers focused on the key objective of helping customers achieve outcomes with Data and AI. You will partner closely with Product Management, Product Operations, Security, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
Who You Will Work With:
You will lead a high-impact regional team of up to 500 people, comprised of software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, engineering operations, and architecture teams. You will partner closely with Product Management, Product Operations, Security, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership. This position will work closely with the various other regional and global leaders.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate:
- 10+ years of proven senior leadership in product development, engineering, or technology leadership within enterprise software product companies.
- 3+ years in a VP Product or equivalent role managing large-scale, distributed technical teams in a growth market.
- Proven experience leading the development of agentic AI and driving AI at scale in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams through transformation with measurable impacts.
- Demonstrated success implementing and scaling Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Progressive leadership experience building and leading large technical teams managing multiple high visibility priorities.
What You Will Bring:
- Understanding of cloud platforms, data harmonization, and data analytics for AI.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices-based architectures.
- Experience delivering SaaS-based data and analytics platforms, ideally involving hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of modern data stack technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Presto/Trino, Delta Lake, or Iceberg.
- Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, model lifecycle management, and integration with data platforms.
- Strong background in enterprise security, data governance, performance engineering, and API-first design.
- Experience modernizing legacy architectures into modern, service-based systems using CI/CD and automation.
- Passion for open-source collaboration and building extensible, developer-friendly ecosystems.
- Track record of building high-performing engineering cultures and inclusive leadership teams.
- Ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.
- Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or MBA preferred
