Role Summary

As Regional Sales Head for North India, you will drive achievement of our Annual Business Plan (ABP) by expanding distribution, visibility, and market share in the region. You’ll partner closely with Sales & Distribution teams and own end-to-end sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales & distribution for North India, setting region-specific targets (brand-wise, pack-wise) aligned to ABP
  • Break down annual targets into geographic, monthly, weekly, and daily goals
  • Define and manage sales territories, coordinate field teams for optimal coverage
  • Drive channel-wise distribution strategies to boost visibility and volumes
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
  • Conduct periodic business reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Collaborate with Finance to track top-line and profitability against budget
  • Focus on traditional channels while exploring digital / agri-tech distribution
  • Prepare and present sales performance reports to leadership

Location & Travel

  • Base:  Head Office, Hyderabad
  • Travel:  2 weeks/month in Hyderabad office | 2 weeks/month in North India field

Experience & Education

  • Work Experience:  15+ years in Sales, Distribution & Marketing—preferably in Insurance (especially Agri), FMCG, or Banca channels
  • Domain Expertise:  Agriculture insurance landscape and rural distribution models
  • Education:  MBA from a premier institute

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven track record leading large sales teams and meeting ambitious targets
  • Strong analytical “data-warrior” mindset; expert in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM analytics
