**Key Responsibilities:**
**Chemical Request Review & Approval**
+ Evaluate chemical requests for completeness, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and intended use location.
+ Review SDS to ensure it is current (not older than 3 years), verify approval status, and assess duration of chemical use.
+ Communicate with requesters regarding approval decisions or required revisions.
**System Updates & Regulatory Compliance**
+ Upload approved SDS to the SDS Online Tool and enter chemical data into ProSteward and the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS).
+ Maintain accurate records for regulatory programs including:
+ Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA)
+ Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)
+ Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act Section 313 (SARA 313)

+ Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)

+ Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)
+ American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM)

**Stakeholder Communication**
+ Notify local Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialists and other stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Waste Specialists) upon completion of chemical reviews.
+ Communicate final approval status to requesters via email or automated system notifications
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering
+ Relevant years of experience in 3-6 years demonstrated experience in managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and implementing chemical management programs.
+ Knowledge of chemical hazard classifications and relevant regulations within the oil and gas industry.
