Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure Strategy & Planning
- Develop and maintain the organization’s system and network infrastructure roadmap.
- Recommend and implement hardware, software, and network upgrades for performance and security.
- Manage infrastructure budgets and cost optimization initiatives.
2. System Administration
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS systems across the organization.
- Manage enterprise applications, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), and cloud integrations.
- Ensure regular backups, disaster recovery, and failover testing.
3. Network Administration
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and hybrid cloud networks.
- Administer network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ensure network uptime, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution.
4. Mac OS Management
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Mac OS devices in a mixed-OS environment.
- Implement security controls, update management, and integration with enterprise authentication systems (e.g., Active Directory, MDM solutions like Jamf).
- Provide technical guidance for Mac OS compatibility, application deployments, and troubleshooting.
5. Security & Compliance
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including intrusion detection, endpoint protection, and patch management across all OS platforms.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant IT policies/regulations.
6. Team & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor a team of system and network engineers/administrators.
- Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and procurement.
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in system and network administration, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS administration in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune, etc.) for Mac OS device management.
- Expertise in networking technologies and protocols (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Strong cybersecurity knowledge and compliance awareness.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
