THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workday Analyst with expertise in Time & Absence and Core HCM to join our HR Technology team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing and enhancing our Workday system to support the organization's workforce strategies.While Workday is our primary HRIS platform, we leverage ServiceNow for ticket management, Jira for project tracking, and Confluence as our HR team's wiki page. We also integrate Workday with other vendor systems to ensure seamless end-to-end HR processes and a comprehensive HR technology ecosystem. You understand Workday's capabilities and limitations and are confident in recommending alternatives when needed, whether through other vendor solutions or full-stack development options. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, experienced professional with a deep understanding of Time & Absence processes, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering innovative HR solutions. This role requires judgment in selecting the right methods and techniques, strong collaboration with senior stakeholders, and the ability to work independently on diverse, complex challenges.

What You'll Do
Workday Configuration & Development

  • Serve as the primary SME for Workday Time & Absence, designing, configuring, and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain time tracking and absence plans, accruals, eligibility rules, and time-off frameworks that meet business and compliance needs across multiple geographies.
  • Configure and enhance business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and advanced reports specific to Time & Absence.
  • Partner with HR teams to analyze business rules, local regulations, and translate them into accurate system configurations.
  • Optimize business workflows by automating manual tasks, improving user experience, and delivering actionable insights through reporting and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with payroll and HR operations to ensure seamless integration between Time & Absence, Core HCM, and other workday modules.

System Support & Enhancements

  • Monitor system performance and resolve Time & Absence-related issues, including accrual discrepancies, leave calculations, and time-tracking errors.
  • Ensure system compliance with security and data privacy requirements.
  • Participate in Workday releases, assessing new features, and recommending adoption strategies for Talent Management modules.
  • Partner with ServiceNow HRSD platform for intake, triaging, SLA adherence, and resolution tracking of Workday cases across all modules.

Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless processes and integrations.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge articles to ensure adoption of Time & Absence tools.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Workday Core HCM functionality.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience with strong focus on Time & Absence (including eligibility rules, accruals, absence plans, time tracking).
  • Strong technical expertise in Workday configuration, including business processes, calculated fields, reporting, and integrations.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze diverse business rules, and deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Experienced in Agile environments and tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery platform, with strong knowledge of SLA management, ticket triaging protocols, and HR case handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment on diverse, complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, and IT functions.
  • Collaborate regularly with US-based teams and stakeholders, which might require working during late IST hours, to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of global initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Support & Issue Resolution:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the US-based team, addressing Workday-related support tickets and providing timely resolutions for any system issues.

  • Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the reporting team to create custom reports or modify existing ones based on user feedback.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on configurations, processes, and system changes to facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest enhancements to increase system efficiency and user satisfaction.

Your Skills And Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Workday Expertise: Solid experience supporting multiple Workday modules (HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Time, Absence, Payroll, Reporting).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify system issues, resolve problems, and offer solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Workday's reporting tools, security configuration, and business process configuration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address support tickets, improve system functionality, and handle system issues efficiently.

Mindpool Technologies is hiring for a Workday Analyst in Pune
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support maintenance of Workday HCM and/or Financials configuration, including setup and functional configuration. 
  • Gather requirements for, create, and maintain data and configuration changes required to accommodate rapid organizational and business process requirements.
  • Work closely with the business teams in USA and India to understand system pain points, determine root causes, and develop solutions to address short and long-term issues.
  • Implement solutions through successful design, development, testing, and deployment with required documentation.
  • Manage support tickets ensuring thorough, timely work and compliance with documentation procedures in ticket tracking system.
  • Leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Design and develop custom reports as required for business users.
  • Configure and administer security in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support Workday Release activities.
  • Act with speed, while balancing quality and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 - 8 years for total experience, experience of Workday HCM or Financials support experience preferred.
  • 4+ years experience with a Finance ERP system support role (Oracle, PeopleSoft).
  • Understanding of HR and/or Finance processes, procedures and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven communication skills, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, mature and positive attitude.
  • Ability to exercise discretion with highly confidential information.
  • Attend to detail with accuracy.
