**Position Overview**
Evernorth is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented System Analyst to support our Financial Data Warehouse application. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient operation, enhancement, and maintenance of our enterprise level data systems. As a System Analyst, you will analyze, design, and implement solutions that align with the business goals of Evernorth's financial operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact on the financial data systems that drive the business decisions, analytics, and compliance within a global healthcare organization.
The focus of the work is to continue to enhance our market winning capabilities within Health and Care Solutions space.

You will play a critical role in ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all financial sources.
This is a hands-on position to design system workflows, data models, and integration approaches that adhere to business requirements and data governance policies. The role also requires you to create and maintain documentation related to system architecture, design, and functional specifications. This also ensures system design decisions align with best practices and industry standards for data management security and performance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Collaborate with business users, developers and data architects to gather requirements and translate them into functional/non-functional specification
+ Analyze and translate healthcare business requirements related to financial transactions, eligibility, membership, providers, networks etc into functional specifications
+ Gather and assess requirements and assist with translation into optimal solutions
+ Create data mapping documents for mapping and validating data elements from multiple source systems to warehouse
+ Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, cases, and expected results for data flows within the system
+ Walkthrough the functional design documents and related deliverables with the technical team and business team to seek signoff
+ Review and provide feedback on the technical design documents from the technical team to ensure it aligns with the functional design document and leverages best practices from a Data Warehouse perspective
+ Lead efforts to improve data quality and system reliability Troubleshoot production issues, perform data profiling, impact analysis and root cause analysis to implement long-term solutions
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and smooth system integrations
+ Participate in full system development life cycle(SDLC), including analysis, design, testing, implementation and documentation
+ Provide functional support in the form of research, documentation updates and enhancement requests during the testing phase to ensure the defects identified are valid defects that the technical team needs to work on
+ Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in mainframe-based data processing and architecture
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
+ 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst working in mainframe environments
+ Prefer candidates deeply passionate about data, solving complex problems and turning messy information into meaningful insights
+ Solid experience with DB2 for z/OS(or any relational databases)Prefer knowledge of health insurance operations related to claims adjudication, policy/member management and provider networks
+ Experience in documenting key deliverables such as Requirement Gathering, Functional Design and Data Mapping.
+ Proven experience in supporting and maintaining data warehouses in a regulated environment
+ Prefer experience with data governance, data quality and audit processes in healthcare IT
+ Have a strong understanding of the data warehouse architecture including physical data models, ETL, logical business models and subject areas.
+ Good communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audience
+ Strong project ownership and time management
+ Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities
**Required Experience & Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information systems/Software Engineering (or Business Administration with IT experience), typically five or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of three years' experience in Data warehouse application design, development and implementation.
+ Proven experience with design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
**Desired Experience: **
+ Exposure to Mainframe systems and relational databases like DB2, Oracle
+ Knowledge of TSO/ISPF and batch processing tools is preferred Health care insurance industry experience is desired
