Role Overview
The Senior Installation Technician will be responsible for overseeing and executing the installation,commissioning, and handover of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP),Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, and Heat Pump solutions. This role demands strong technical expertise, hands-on execution, team leadership, and client interaction to ensure high-quality and
timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation and commissioning of STP, WTP, RO, and Heat Pump systems at client sites.
- Conduct site surveys, layout planning, and installation design in coordination with project teams.
- Supervise a team of junior engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure all installations are in line with engineering drawings, specifications, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and rectification during commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain detailed installation reports, checklists, and documentation for client handover.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and site operators post-installation.
- Coordinate with the procurement and design teams for timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Ensure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance on-site.
- Work closely with the project management team to resolve site-level challenges and escalations.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of STP, WTP, RO membrane systems, and industrial heat pumps.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Proficiency in installation planning, site supervision, and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience in pumps, piping, valves, electrical controls, and automation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- Knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Min 5years of experience in installation & commissioning of STP, WTP, RO, and/or Heat Pump systems.
- Experience in managing multiple sites/projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with PLC-based systems, SCADA, and IoT-enabled monitoring is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across regions.
