- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory & Spare Parts Manager to take full ownership of spare parts management at our container service yard. This role involves managing inventory, arranging and assigning spares to technicians, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and optimising costs. The individual will serve as the sole responsible authority for spare parts at the yard.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal stock levels of reefer container spare parts (compressors, controllers, sensors, electrical spares, consumables, etc.) with zero stockouts.
Organisation & Storage:
- Ensure systematic arrangement of spare parts in the yard/warehouse, following safety, compliance, and easy-access standards.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors for timely procurement of spare parts, negotiate for best pricing, and ensure quality compliance.

Record Keeping & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed logs of inbound/outbound stock, returned/damaged items, and generate weekly/monthly usage and cost reports.
Audit & Compliance:
- Conduct periodic stock checks, cycle counts, and audits to maintain 100% accuracy in records.
Accountability:
- Act as the single point of responsibility for all matters related to spare parts management in the yard.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 4–6 years of inventory/warehouse management experience, preferably in logistics, cold chain, or container maintenance.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of reefer container spare parts and related equipment preferred.
- Vendor Management: Proven ability to handle supplier negotiations and build reliable vendor relationships.
- Cost Optimisation: Strong track record in reducing costs while maintaining quality and availability.
- Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory management systems.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to independently manage stock.
