Our client is a global provider of integrated rig products and services, specializing in the inspection, repair, maintenance, and modernization of drilling rigs and related equipment.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager with a strong background in the oil & gas and FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) sector to drive business development and technical sales initiatives across the India region.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling technical services or equipment related to rig systems, drilling or lifting equipment, and offshore asset maintenance. This role involves end-to-end sales management — from handling RFQs and preparing proposals to client engagement, technical discussions, and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle, from enquiry to order closure, ensuring timely and accurate proposals.
- Conduct client meetings and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in the FPSO and offshore sectors.
- Work closely with operations and technical teams to define work scopes and equipment requirements.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and pipeline activities, and contribute to regional growth strategies.
- Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support business planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas , preferably with FPSO or offshore rig systems exposure .
- Strong understanding of mechanical and rig systems (e.g., cranes, jacking, skidding, lifting gear).
- Proven success in technical or industrial sales within the energy sector.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client management skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (API, DNV, ABS) is advantageous.
