General Summary : This is an Individual contributor role. Activities that ensure the correct and smooth movement of the material from suppliers to production floor and supporting manufacturing process to complete costumers' orders more efficiently. Primary goal will be balancing the competing objectives to maximize customer service, minimize supply chain costs and better Inventory Controls.

How you'll help us connect the world :
  • Using corporate ERP system (SAP), create material inventory/purchasing plans, capacity plans, based on customer forecasts, current sales, seasonal trends and information received from sales to reduce response time to Customer demands and increase market share.
  • Maintain this forecast in response to the following situations:
    • availability and lead-time of components
    • market forces
    • increased/reduced demand
    • global corporate inventory policy
    • weekly exception report


  • Work with Local and Global procurement teams to resolve any supply issues resulting in delay to serve customer.
  • Direct the control processes including measurement of key performance indicators and recommended actions over the supply chain, planning procedures, manufacturing and distribution. These include metrics for customer service, supply chain costs, and working capital.
  • Identifies changes in capacity or material availability to sales. Elevates issues to management which negatively impacts the MPS, and hence availability to customer
  • Responsible for applying best material availability dates to Sales Orders and Quotations by analyzing the Bill of Material and Plant Capacity.
  • Use inventory management tools to improve turns and reduce non-moving inventory. Expect analytical skills to monitor and escalate planning issues.
  • Expedite supplier materials to meet master schedule needs, Liaising with Shipping Agents regarding imports of Air and Ocean Freight, providing VAT Deferment Authorization, delivery schedules and requests.
  • Liaise with counterparts at other locations to reduce response time to customers who require high value/low usage components within a short lead times
  • Manages work orders from Master Production Schedule to various productions to ensure product availability in line with customer orders.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to improve planning processes, including Manufacturing, Customer Care, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, and Product Line Management.
  • Also responsible for investigating any discrepancies, utilizing ERP systems, around accuracy of inventory (raw, WIP, finished goods), shipments, returns, and invoices
  • Responsible for investigating possible alternative uses of excess and slow moving stock in order to reduce and eliminate this specific area of inventory and optimize usage of material.


Required Qualification for Consideration

Education : Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Work Experience :
    • 5-8 years of experience in planning and production within a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
    • Minimum 3 years of direct collaboration with vendors and planners at sister facilities to acquire parts and meet production needs-preferably in fiber cable components.
    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems in material planning.

+ Support the talent acquisition and process of salaried as well as hourly personnel as required. This includes building strong relationships internal hiring managers, developing recruiting strategies, sourcing, screening and referring qualified candidates, and ensuring full compliance with the staffing process with end-to-end support.
+ As a part of HR generalist hourly hiring responsibilities, assist and monitor the position requisition development process by reviewing all requisitions, manage responses, screening applicants and referring qualified candidates to the requesting manager, enter relevant candidate data into the applicant tracking system on a timely basis to ensure full compliance and process consistency. Maintain candidate database/tracker and accurate data on all requirements.

We are looking for a Highly skilled **Engineer, Product Development** to support the diverse needs of our Broadband Networks team **Goa** . The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design issues, and recommend and document effective solutions. Also, must be knowledgeable in manufacturing processes and technologies to support factory and part evaluations. Must act as liaison between the manufacturing site with global design centers. Candidate will provide real time solutions to design issues discovered in the manufacturing process.
**How You'll Help Us Connect the World:**
**Engineering Expertise:**
+ Evaluates and applies standard engineering techniques to drive design excellence, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and performance targets.
+ Conducts feasibility studies and tests to troubleshoot design and manufacturing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
+ Leads and maintains project scopes, tracks Product Development projects, and ensures timely completion of project timelines and milestones.
+ Conducts Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to assess product criticality and ensure design robustness.
+ Drives Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts for the business unit, ensuring products are designed with manufacturing efficiency in mind.
**Collaboration and Communication**
+ Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, providing regular status updates and ensuring smooth product launches.
+ Leads collaborative design reviews and brainstorming activities to identify and select the best design options for products.
+ Supports supply chain localization efforts, ensuring effective collaboration with global suppliers.
+ Collaborates with global design centers and manufacturing sites to resolve design and manufacturing issues, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
**Process Excellence**
+ Ensures seamless design, documentation, and product change management processes.
+ Shares best practices and knowledge with global manufacturing sites, promoting standardization and efficiency.

**Required Qualifications for Consideration:**
+ Master/Bachelor's degree in Engineering With preferably 10+ years of related Experience as well as the knowledge of typical manufacturing processes. -
+ Proficient in CAD software: CREO 7, AutoCAD/DraftSight, SolidWorks.
+ Experienced in product development with various materials: engineering plastics, sheet metal, injection molding, and die casting -
+ Strong knowledge of: - 2D drafting and GD&T - Tolerance stack-up analysis -
+ Sustaining Engineering principles - BOM structure and engineering change management - Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) -
+ Familiarity with: - PLM Software: SAP, ECTR, Windchill - Simulation tools: FEA, ANSYS Workbench, LS-DYNA - Knowledge of IP-protected enclosure design
