Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior-level professional (VP) to lead origination efforts in Northeast India. The VP will identify and originate deals , coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to the strategic growth of Rocket Equities in India. The ideal candidate has high energy, strong problem-solving abilities, and a hunger for growth , and can operate effectively under pressure while taking ownership of results.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and originate deals in Healthcare and Consumer sectors , including private and public market opportunities.
Support capital raising initiatives , coordinating with private equity, strategic investors, and potential listings.
Lead financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and documentation for origination projects with rigor and precision.
Act as a senior point of contact for clients , providing clear strategic insights and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture and encouraging proactiveness within the team.
Develop processes, templates, and best practices for the India Origination function.
Contribute to building Rocket Equities’ presence in India , applying creativity, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset to shape the business.
Requirements:
VP or equivalent senior-level experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields .
Proven track record in deal origination, Healthcare and Consumer sectors , preferably with exposure to cross-border transactions .
Experience with listing companies on public markets is a plus.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills .
Exceptional project management, client management, and leadership abilities , with the ability to adapt to challenges, make decisions on the fly, and thrive in dynamic situations.
Familiarity with Northeast India is highly preferred.
Self-starter with a builder mindset , capable of establishing and scaling a new market presence.
