Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and certified Network Security Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our complex network and security environment. You will be the go-to expert for our customers firewall, switching, and wireless infrastructure, ensuring its security, reliability, and performance. This roles is based in India office and requires travel to Middle East countries based on Project demands.
What you will do:
- Firewall Management: Design, deploy, and maintain next-generation firewalls, including Palo Alto, Check Point, and FortiGate.
- Security Policy & VPN: Configure and manage security policies, rule sets, VPN tunnels (IPSec/SSL), and threat prevention features (IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, Anti-Malware).
- Network Infrastructure: Administer and support our enterprise LAN and WLAN environments, including configuring switches (VLANs, STP, LACP) and managing wireless access points and controllers.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Act as a primary escalation point for complex network and security issues. Monitor for security threats, investigate incidents, and lead remediation efforts.
- Architecture & Documentation: Collaborate on network architecture projects and maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and security policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network health and performance, ensuring high availability and optimal operation of all network services.
What you will bring:
- Experience Level: 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a dedicated network security role.
- Multi-Vendor Firewall Expertise: Demonstrable, in-depth experience managing Palo Alto, Check Point, AND FortiGate firewalls in a corporate environment.
- Strong Networking Foundation: Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, TCP/IP, and dynamic routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
- Switching & Wireless Skills: Working experience with enterprise-grade switching (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Juniper) and wireless solutions (e.g., Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus).
- Required Certifications: Professional certifications in relevant firewall and switching technologies are highly preferred.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a knack for solving complex problems under pressure.
Nice to Have:
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with network security in cloud environments (Azure).
- SIEM/Monitoring Tools: Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) and network monitoring tools.
