Job Description

The Executive Director, Shared Services Accounting will lead the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Asset (FA) Shared Services Center (SSC). This role reports directly to the Global Controller and focuses on strategic transformation, operational excellence, internal controls, and seamless cross-functional and offshore collaboration.
What you'll bring to us:
Strategic Leadership & Operations
· Architect and Execute: Develop and implement the shared service accounting services for AP, AR, and FA in alignment with global financial objectives.
· Standardize and Centralize: Ensure consistency and efficiency by standardizing and centralizing processes across different geographies and entities.
· Transactional Functions: Oversee all transactional functions including AP payments, AR billing/collections, and FA procedures (capitalization, depreciation, disposals).
Team & Stakeholder Management
· Build and Lead: Create and manage a high-performing team of managers and supervisors, focusing on development, coaching, and performance oversight.
· Interface: Collaborate with regional finance, procurement, IT, tax, legal, treasury, statutory and external auditors.
Process Optimization & Technology
· Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives for continuous improvement and automation, leveraging ERPs like Oracle.
· Performance Reporting: Implement KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and regular performance reporting to drive service excellence.
Controls & Compliance
· Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS/PFRS, tax, and procurement policies.
· Audit Readiness: Manage audit readiness, liaise with internal/external auditors, and oversee corrective action plans.
Cash Management & Financial Reporting
Optimize Cash Flow: Enhance cash flow through efficient payment terms, collections, and FA lifecycle management.
Close Cycles: Ensure timely month-end and year-end close for AP, AR, and FA; support global close cycles and financial consolidation.
Project & Change Management
Transformation Initiatives: Lead transformation initiatives such as ERP migrations, shared service expansions, and post-merger integration.
Change Management: Drive change management and align stakeholders through effective communication and training efforts.
What Skills you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree: In Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA or equivalent preferred).
Professional Certification: CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.
Finance Operations: 12-15 years in finance operations/shared services, with 10 years in senior leadership roles.
SSC Experience: Significant experience in Shared Services Centers.
Global Environments: Proven delivery of AP, AR, FA centralization in multi-entity/global environments.
ERP Proficiency: Proficient with major ERPs like Oracle and automation technologies.
Advanced Tools: Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, reporting tools, and ideally SQL/ETL.

**The Role:** Intercompany Accountant (US Hours)
**The Team:** This team oversees all transfer pricing and below-the-line accounts, analyzing and closing out each financial period. Team members work in close partnership with Regional and Local Controllers, Tax, and Treasury departments to promote best practices and maintain regulatory compliance. The Global Intercompany team values collaboration, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Accounting & Reconciliation: Execute day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations of intercompany balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Reporting: Support preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to intercompany activities.
+ Financial Close Support: Assist with closing procedures for each financial period, collaborating with other departments as needed.
+ Transfer Pricing and Compliance: Assist in the preparation, posting, and reconciliation of Service Fee and Distribution Fee Transfer Pricing models.
+ Intercompany Settlements: Prepare monthly files for intercompany settlements and record all corresponding entries to maintain accurate financial records.
+ Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Regional/Local Controllers, Tax, and Treasury teams to resolve issues, share information, and implement process improvements.
+ Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance intercompany accounting processes and participate in strategic projects.

+ Microsoft Excel knowledge and expertise.

The successful candidate will be supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Compliance Program for S&P Global Market Intelligence, with a focus on enhancement of data loss protection initiatives and sanction compliance. **The Team:** Be part of a global record to report team and collaborate with domestic and international retained staff, Treasury, Intercompany; AP & OTC teams, and all global business units focusing on achieving team/company objectives.
**The Impact:** The position will perform the AP/T&E reconciliations. The individual will also be helping the Record to report team on the ad hoc reporting and audit requests and ensure the adherence to our SOX policies and procedures related to AP/T&E reconciliations. The position will be an anchor for our acquisitions and divestiture activities and support other accountants within the team during the crunch time.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Work on the AP/T&E reconciliations and accruals reconciliations as assigned.
+ Ensure timely clearance of open items within corporate policies.
+ Work continuously with AP/T&E teams in the reconciling items by monitoring the tracker and addressing the issues proactively.
+ Support the Record to Report team leads on the internal and external audit requests related to AP/T&E reconciliations.
+ Work with Divestiture/Acquisitions team in acquired and discontinued operations of purchased or sold business, cash handling and providing support i.e. reconciliations, financial statements and or contacts.
+ Prepare journal entries and accounting classifications as needed to clear the reconciliations.
+ Performs backfill and support to other accountants in the team
+ Work closely with technical teams to ensure AP/T&E reporting are accurate

+ 3-5 years of accounting experience with general ledger, Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis experience
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related curriculum

Job Description

Sikich is seeking Accounting Analysts with 3-5 years of experience. Candidates must be computer literate with prior experience in US GAAP general accounting and financial statement preparation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily accounting activities including AP management & AR management
  • Creating and sending invoices for clients
  • Managing payroll for clients
  • Performing monthly close activities
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Creation and management of reports, budgets, cash-flow models, and supplemental reports
  • Preparation of sales and payroll tax returns
  • Development of one-on-one relationships with US-based project leads
  • Ensuring that reports sent to clients are accurate and sent within scheduled timeframes
  • Drive quality project deliverables
  • Progressively enhance leadership skills and guide Associates on delivery work
  • Participate in Training and Development to hone skills of peers and self



Requirements for Successful Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Accounting is a plus
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic
  • Organizational skills to provide client reports within scheduled time frames
  • Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks™ and other US accounting systems
  • Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges

Job Responsibilities

· Manage all accounting entries with accuracy and timeliness.

· Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.

· Prepare and submit GST returns on the portal, and manage GST return data.

· Assist in the preparation and review of income tax returns.

· Conduct balance sheet analysis and prepare financial reports.

· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

· Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

· Recommend effective tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities.

· Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities as required.

· Manage and monitor inventory accounting, including stock reconciliation and valuation.


Qualifications

  • B.Com, M.Com or relevant degree from a recognized university.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax , Statutory Compliance Audit & Book keeping.
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel for accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a plus.
  • Should be willing to work from Ahmedabad office.
