Summary
Under the general supervision of the principal, office manager, department head or other supervisor, the office assistant provides general support for administrators, office staff and faculty. Incumbent may process student information; serve as receptionist, answering telephones, taking messages, making telephone calls, and assisting students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage/monitor the copy center; and/or supervise students in various settings.

Classified position is announced to all qualified applicants. Office Assistant // 7 hours per week / One Year Only / Salary Grade 3 - $16.92 per hour (Support Salary Table (Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase GENERAL FUNCTION: This position will be 7 hours per week for one year only. Hours are from 4 to 7:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The adult education department needs a reliable person to open the secure doors for our night students. Candidate will also answer phone calls and talk to walk-in students and answer questions. This would be a perfect job for a college student or other current employee who has 19.5 hours per week at another location. Candidate must be 21+ years old. Preferred skill is someone who can speak Spanish. Educational Requirements: 1. High School graduation or equivalent education and/or experience. Knowledge & Ability: 1.
