**Job Positions:**
Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D CSA is looking for dynamic and self-motivated Structural Designer to support our T&D Civil Structural Engineering and Design Team in the Mumbai/Bangalore Office. T&D Civil Structural offers a depth and breadth of experience in transformer foundation, switch gear structure, gantry structure, switch gear building design, Equipment support structure, rigid bus design, structure and foundation design concepts. which covers a wide range of design and project execution experiences. This position is responsible for drafting & running clash checks on Civil Structural Projects. Candidate will perform work which involves both conventional engineering practices and complex situations, requiring innovative solutions relative to work practices and procedures.
**Following are some specific duties & responsibilities:**
·2D drafting of foundations and steel, general arrangement drawings using tools like AutoCAD (MicroStation will be added advantage) to produce construction deliverables like
·Foundation plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
·Steel plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings
·Location layout and key plan
·Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Material Take-offs (MTOs)
·Stairs, Ladders and Misc. items (will be added advantage)
·Coordinate with other disciplines and develop a clash-free 3D model/drawing (added advantage).
·Responsible to manage the assigned scope within the agreed schedule, and budget and complying with agreed project quality norms.
·Assist Engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
·A committed team player able to work on their own initiative.
·Effective communication both verbal as well as writing and collaboration with USA Counterpart.
·Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications include:**
·Diploma in Civil Engineering with min 4 years of experience or ITI with 6 years of experience.
·Experience in industrial/commercial design drafting, development of general arrangement drawings, foundation and steel layouts, Foundation detail drawings, steel connection drawings, and Modeling of steel and foundations.
·Diagrammatic skills, 3D conceptual skills
·Working knowledge of international codes and standards (AISC, ACI, PIP etc.) used in Manufacturing, Industrial, and Commercial projects.
·2D Tools: AutoCAD-2D, Microstation
·Microsoft Office Tools - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote
