Essential Education

Significant experience in Industrial Metal Working Fluids, and/or Oil-based or Grease formulations and
applications.

Ability to work cross-functionally, interact at most senior levels, internally and externally

The Senior Service Engineer in this role is responsible for overseeing support and delivering a customer-focused environment of high quality. This involves working closely with business users to understand and elicit requirements, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that Information & Engineering (I&E) delivers solutions that meet business needs and ensure a positive customer experience. The role also involves monitoring vendor performance—including key metrics such as SLAs and budgets—and ensuring that systems are compliant with audit requirements. This role focuses on leading Castrol India's Market development to get INSA(India & SouthAsia) on a double digit growth pathway.
This includes accelerating the opportunities in core business as well as new business development including global diversification plays and any adjacencies opportunities.
A key accountability is setting up a pan India network of Castrol branded 4-wheeler (Cars) workshops and develop strategic partnerships & alliances to develop an independent automotive workshop ecosystem working along with digital aggregators to build long term value.
The role will lead the coordinated analysis of growth strategy in the PU/market and drive the critical business decisions by engaging key customers including engagement with CIL board and HQ.
In addition, as part of capability building, the role may hold some P&L accountability.

Prepare presentation material, including commentary, and answer follow-up questions from leadership or central finance teams.
Economic Evaluation: support the business teams in performing economic analysis to evaluate the financial viability of various projects or scenarios. Review and develop insights into economic drivers and sources of value for the business, while providing robust challenge to assumptions made by the business.
Control Environment: perform various control-related tasks including maintenance of DOA, GRIR analysis, monitoring and setup of intercompany recharges for functional employees, review of cost pools for global marketing recharges, fixed asset review and due diligence
Recharges: play a key role in the global royalty and residual fee process, including confirming the accuracy and completeness of business performance reporting, reconciliation to underlying financial data/ forecasting, variance commentary and addressing business queries in relation to the intercompany charges. Assist the CFO delegate in providing overall sign-off of recharge calculation (>$600m in 2024).
Simplification: promote the use of standard systems and reports, and work towards continued standardization and simplification of performance management processes
Education & Experience
- Degree in a Degree in Business and/or Finance or equivalent
- 15 years of experience in a commercial finance roles preferably within the context of FMCG industry
- Expert knowledge and application of Plan to Perform processes, including digital literacy and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and insight capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement in performance management and MI.
