As a Procurement Category Manager, you will create and implement sourcing strategies for complex categories in the Professional Services (Consultant Procurement) domain for India and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs for Amazon while delivering value to our customers . You will develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. Additionally, you will drive results through methods that include go to market strategies , competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for your category. You will also create regional/global Procurement processes and tools to drive innovation across teams.
The ideal candidate thinks long term, drives multiple initiatives, and communicates appropriately and influences customers and suppliers at all levels. You must be collaborative, but also work with significant autonomy. To be successful in this role you must be highly analytical; think strategically and globally; have a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines; exhibit curiosity and learning drive; succeed in a fast-paced environment; engage and influence key stakeholders; and have a high level of customer focus and business judgement. Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Manage one or more Professional Services (consultancy) categories for India, within the Professional Services procurement team
• Achieve cost savings through bidding, negotiations and strategic initiatives
• Understand customer requirements and analyze category data to establish and implement robust regional procurement category strategies that deliver value to the business
• Understand trends in customers’ needs and concerns across categories and regions to influence customers’ priorities
• Provide in-depth knowledge about the supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically, to the business.
• Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost
• Create supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance
• Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships
• Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle
• Provide support throughout the contracting process, as well as management of contracts post-execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience in an international Procurement organization performing category management, contract negotiation and bidding

Job Purpose:

  • To plan, organise and deliver a differentiated level of technical service to customers and target prospects consistent with the GME technical offer and in support of sector strategies. 
  • Coordinates the activities of a technical services team, under the guidance of the Regional/Area Technical Services Manager, in order to effectively deliver a differentiated level of technical service to GME.

  • Providing SmartGains insights and opportunities from Used oil analysis results. 
  • Skillful knowledge of the relevant technical services offers within the TSE’s remit of Marine or Energy, and aligned with any specialization in the areas of New builds, SP&D & Subsea, or any combination of those as defined by the Regional Technical Services Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and maintain up to date a Schedule of recommended lubricants for customer assets using available online tools (GST) in order to establish optimised machinery lubricant portfolio. Make appropriate recommendations regarding the use of products in Shipping or Oil & Gas applications aligned with Marine and Energy Technical Databases.  Ensure that all product and service offers are appropriate for the application.
  • Responding to customers’ (and sales/customer service) technical queries on product, application, operational conditions and ensure customer satisfaction.  Provide support for technical claims and complaints.
  • Conduct basic technical solving. (in close co-operation with Product Managers) and make appropriate recommendations for the benefit of the customer, and our company's image and reputation.
  • Administer a central used oil analysis program for those assets where required and utilize the data to create SmartGains recommendations directly with customer and account manager.   
  • Establish and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, key regional OEMs, and stakeholders within the wider BP group (BP Exploration & Production, Shipping) and the Lubricants organization.
  • Clearly demonstrate the differentiated value of the GME offer (products and services) to customers and target prospects through the SmartGains framework.
  • Accountable to generate and communicate sales leads to the sales and business development functions through demonstrating existing strong technical relationships, bringing value playback and trade-up opportunities from SmartGains insights. Supporting sales teams in developing clear understanding technical needs and potential differentiation for target prospects. 
  • Coordinating and conducting visit within HSSE guidelines and after appropriate training to ships, offshore assets, and yards for inspection, lubrication surveys, change-over visits etc.  
  • Relevant central technical databases are maintained and updated on a regular basis with insights and data from the region.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma/ in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, machinery maintenance, plant & asset reliability or adjacent field with proven experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years offshore industry experience or a minimum 3 years of sailing experience as a Class 2 Engineer and above or Marine, Oil & Gas industry or Power gen industry engineering experience including both equipment maintenance and reliability experience.
  • Theoretical and practical experience of the main rotating machinery as operated by offshore companies.
  • Condition based maintenance experience

  • Ability to develop, maintain and build new relationships with customers, OEMs and Industry bodies

  • Work with Key Account sales team and planning team to define a local area business plan including target workshops, coverage, sales target, activities etc.

  • Heavy Duty - Increase profitable growth of Castrol brands with a focus on premium products and HD strategic segments including both direct and indirect sales model.

Job Purpose -  This role is a key member of the Castrol Functions Finance team supporting the Global Marketing team, Global Accounts Management team and other central functions.

This role sits within the Castrol Functions Finance team and is accountable for delivering business planning and performance management and business partnering support for Global Marketing, Global Accounts Management (GAM), and other Head Office central functional teams. The role is a multi-discipline one, encompassing aspects of both planning and performance management, and certain control-related activities. The role requires excellent engagement skills and the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities while meeting stakeholder expectations, maintaining a proactive business partnering relationship between finance and the relevant business teams.

Key Accountabilities

Performance Management: working closely with dedicated support from the Finance & Business Technology (FBT) team, help to prepare timely, accurate, and reliable financial and management information to support business decisions. Develop and explain material for business performance leadership team discussions, including key messages, analysis, and insights. Provide performance insights to business stakeholders with a strong focus on managing costs.

Business Partnering and Performance Insights: build and maintain a proactive business relationship with relevant Business/Function Leadership teams. With dedicated FBT support, drive the Performance Management agenda, ensuring robust and timely forecasts and delivery of MI analysis and commentary.

Monitor and support cost reduction initiatives and ensure effective tracking and accurate analysis of costs. Support ad-hoc and strategic business decisions.

Actuals Analysis: working closely with dedicated FBT support, analyse monthly/quarterly actuals, including trend analysis and explaining actuals vs. forecasts. Highlight areas where performance is behind or ahead of plan and suggest potential interventions. Work with Global Marketing team to understand and explain movements in Global ASP

Business Planning: working closely with dedicated FBT support, play a key role in developing the long-term plan and annual plan update process. Coordinate the plan for Global Marketing, GAM and Castrol Head Office teams, analyse plan data in SAP based systems, and output in PowerBI reports. Prepare presentation material, including commentary, and answer follow-up questions from leadership or central finance teams.

Economic Evaluation: support the business teams in performing economic analysis to evaluate the financial viability of various projects or scenarios. Review and develop insights into economic drivers and sources of value for the business, while providing robust challenge to assumptions made by the business.

Control Environment: perform various control-related tasks including maintenance of DOA, GRIR analysis, monitoring and setup of intercompany recharges for functional employees, review of cost pools for global marketing recharges, fixed asset review and due diligence

Recharges: play a key role in the global royalty and residual fee process, including confirming the accuracy and completeness of business performance reporting, reconciliation to underlying financial data/ forecasting, variance commentary and addressing business queries in relation to the intercompany charges. Assist the CFO delegate in providing overall sign-off of recharge calculation (>$600m in 2024).

Simplification: promote the use of standard systems and reports, and work towards continued standardization and simplification of performance management processes

Education & Experience

  • Degree in a Degree in Business and/or Finance or equivalent
  • 15 years of experience in a commercial finance roles preferably within the context of FMCG industry
  • Expert knowledge and application of Plan to Perform processes, including digital literacy and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and insight capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement in performance management and MI.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating sophisticated requirements into simple outcomes.
  • Strategic vision and business leadership: ability to see the big picture, anticipate issues including financial implications and create solutions in support of financial objectives.
  • Ability to gain trust from business stakeholders and drive performance.
  • Outstanding experience in working with financial systems such as SAP, Microsoft products and visualization tools such as Power BI.

+ Design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
+ Ensure infrastructure follows principles of scalability, fault tolerance, and security.
+ Design and implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), and similar tools.
+ Define and manage SLIs/SLOs, and partner with development teams to ensure service reliability.
+ Partner with engineering teams to create & improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
+ Provide technical leadership and recommendations to improve system architecture, release velocity, and developer productivity.
Requirements:
+ Good experience on OS - Linux, Cloud - AWS cloud
+ Strong in Terraform and Ansible infrastructure
+ Good experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
+ Strong experience with AWS services and Terraform for IaC .
+ Deep understanding of incident response, post-mortem analysis, and reliability engineering principles.
+ Proven track record with Elastic Stack, or other observability tools.
+ Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and working with Git-based workflows.
+ Solid grasp of modern CI/CD tooling and software development lifecycle practices.
Good to Have Skills:
+ Experience in Azure, Kubernetes, or container orchestration tools.

The Services Portfolio includes Managed Services, On-Premise, Hybrid Cloud, Applications, Platforms and Databases (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), and Security services that TAMs may manage in full or in part.
Part of our growth strategy, we are recruiting an experienced Technical Account Manager (TAM) with extensive service delivery / operations background with Oracle SaaS products.
**Our Ideal Candidate:**
Our ideal candidate will typically be expected to demonstrate the following attributes:
+ Good understanding on Oracle SaaS and ERP / SCM /HCM Modules
+ Governance experience - Oversight and Direction, Alignment with Business Goals and value realization, Risk management, Continuous Improvement
+ Experience with implementation and support of Oracle SaaS ERP / SCM Applications, including at least 2 full cycle projects
+ Good experience in managed services (day2-support) projects as an Individual contributor or a lead subject matter expert
+ Experience conducting a project management in cloud-based (Oracle SaaS) technology
+ Hands-on Oracle SaaS ERP / SCM /HCM implementation experience
+ Understand OCI, PaaS applications and how it integrates with SaaS applications.
+ Ability to review the solution design and Root Cause Analysis documentation.
+ Good knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and specifically the embedded SaaS AI features
+ Effectively manage scope and customer expectations on individual assignments
+ Follow through on all assignments and takes ownership of client issues.
+ Coordinate with Product Manager and business partner to model, design, and build business solutions.
+ Collaborate with customers and various teams to define requirements and lead projects from inception through delivery, including status updates, scope changes.
+ Strong project management experience; PMP is desirable
+ Should have a strong customer management skills.
+ Excellent team player, willing to learn new technologies & problem-solving skills
+ Ability to multitask, maintain composure in high-stress/high-visibility situations and change priority as needed to accommodate a very dynamic business. Work in rotation Shifts
+ Strong organization skills, detail oriented & communication skills
+ University degree, with post graduate technical or management qualifications or other relevant experience.
+ Fusion ERP / SCM / HCM Certification preferred.
