Job Purpose - Leads the marketing organization to ensure consistent, successful and meticulous implementation of local and global marketing strategies, for the business to underpin Castrol strategy. Incumbent will be member of the leadership team, contributing to the delivery and scorecard.
Key Accountabilities
Planning
- Full accountability for the marketing strategy and its delivery in the context of the business’s strategy including Castrol/C&P (Customer & Products) and PU (Performance Unit) level marketing plans.
- Lead the country teams to develop the annual marketing plans & marketing roadmap in line with the respective signed off Operating Business Plan (OBP) and Growth Strategy
- Accountable for marketing investment and establishing programs to provide assurance and measurement against strategic and tactical goals.
- Bring the voice of consumers and customers to the leadership table and ensuring appropriate focus on delivery of the marketing strategy.
- Contribute for key Castrol and global innovation pipeline development as representing Castrol India with strong local insights
Execution
- Drive the activation of Marketing programs as per signed off plans in the accountable geography
- Ensure effective deployment of spends across activity sets and programmes in markets. Conduct rigorous evaluation of the business results to ensure cost efficiency.
- Product portfolio management to deliver near- and long-term GM growth targets consistent with global space/brand strategies
- Communication and promotion to both consumer and trade including thought leadership programmes to B2B customers
- Champion and drive the generation of key insights through market research and competitive intelligence in order to feed into strategic planning, pricing and insight decision-making
- Channel strategy, customer segmentation and development of winning customer value propositions
- Lead the Castrol Marketing Review (CMR) process, and provide inputs/outputs to the Operating Business Plan (OBP), opportunities/vulnerability
- Direct responsibility for product value price setting through market price intelligence data in line with BP legal guidelines
- Support deployment and ensure optimization of the Castrol Marketing Hub
People -Lead the people agenda in marketing function to build a world class Marketing function with solid capability and strong talent pipeline, with clear direction, coaching and development arrangement
Education
- MBA or equivalent post graduate degree in business or Marketing from premier institute only.
Experience
- Having 18+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing in global FMCG companies or Marketing led companies
- With 10+ years of experience in Marketing leadership roles
- Experience of leading high-performance teams
- Significant experience in disciplined marketing campaign execution
- Experience of working with agencies across multiple channels and countries
- Experience of working in a matrix organization with complex customer interfaces
- Lubricants experience desirable but not essential

Amazon Devices is looking for a dynamic regional sales manager to build the West region, offline retail channel in India. You would own the relationships with distributors & retail partners in this region. The leader has to cultivate existing channels extracting sales & develop new channels to unlock long term growth. You would work on creation of sales promotion strategy with strong rigor on last mile execution. You would partner with internal cross functional teams & external field force to deliver on sales targets.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute the sales strategy of Amazon Devices in West region, offline retail channel.
- Own identifying, pitching and negotiating retail listing and distribution agreements that enable the sales of Amazon Devices through offline retail channel.
- Owns and leads engagements with senior leadership at retailers and distribution partners to support the continued growth and financial sustainability of Amazon Devices.
- Inspect processes and mechanisms across the team that track sales forecasts, determine allocations, and plan shipments for each SKU.
- Owns a voice-of-the-customer feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, product features and address customer pain points.
- Serve as the single threaded owner for all category distribution business reviews in his region.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
- Experience closing sales and generating revenue
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- - Proven track record of cultivating existing sales channels & developing new channels to drive business outcomes.
- - Experience in consumer electronics retail, FMCG or consumer durable categories.
- - Highly analytical, including demonstrated ability to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- - Ability to move fast to deliver organizational objectives in an ambiguous environment.
- - Excellent communicator and negotiation skills.

**Role Responsibilities:**
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYPERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE / QUALITATIVE)
**1. Outlet management (** Qualitative)
- Conduct market recee with Sales team to evaluate and finalize the outlets
- Ensure installations and its maintenance and upkeep at vendor outlets as well as acknowledgement and clearance of the bills as per PO
- Finalise beat as per switch Promotion Plan for outlet mapping and ensure deployment of promotional elements and gifts at outlets as per Activity calendar
- Work towards development and innovations in Signage Elements example racks / main shop signage/ gandolas etc
- Collate and update TSEs & TLs monthly Scores in online & offline Portal
- Prepare and supervise contracts for rental outlets and get their approval through the legal team
- Ensure accurate documentation, supervision and monitoring of challans, in & out stock register, bills, POs, GRAs, PR and attendance of the sales team
- Plan and execute POSMs, Display Units, shelf shares for branding and merchandising as per contract and get required sign -off for PO payments
**2. Brand communication and visibility (** Qualitative)
- Help SCMM develop brand communication options at various channels as per brand imperatives
- Co-ordinate with vendors to oversee execution of signage in the state.
- Execute agrees visibility strategy and track and monitor visibility execution
- Responsible for the choice of outlets for implementation along with the Sales team.
- Use outlets as media vehicle to drive seamless route to consumer effectiveness by building brand visibility, imagery, creating demand through consumer winning activations leveraging USL portfolio for effective sell-in & sell-out.
**3. Budget (** Qualitative)
- Coordinate with the manpower agency for various activities eg. claim settlement etc.
- Ensure accurate spend of budgets at the state level.
**4. Analytics (** Quantitative)
- Monitor and report performance to the Customer Marketing Manager and support in defining actionable learning for improvement.
- Provide feedback to the regional marketing team and sale team for improvement based on the competitor analysis and performance wrt the plan
**5. Train promoters for optimum performance (** Qualitative)
- Responsible for training and development of the third-party execution force through on the job training & scheduled training calendar in co-ordination with Regional/National Trade marketing
- Induct and train the promoters as per incentive schemes
- Ensure the sales team is aligned to the marketing activity and standards through regular communication and formal meetings.
