Aakar Group is an internationally recognised hybrid social enterprise comprising two entities: Aakar Innovations Pvt. Ltd. and Aakar Social Ventures.
Aakar Innovations manufactures both machines and sanitary napkins. The company distributes its product through direct to consumer (DTC) sales using its own online platform, other e-commerce platforms, and targets various wholesalers, stores and retail chains. It also manufactures on order for social and commercial enterprises. Aakar Innovations is fundamentally a product innovator, and takes pride in having conducted materials, product and design R&D, utilizing unique technology-led innovations, to customise and develop sanitary napkin-making machines, manufacture specific materials that go into the production, and to design and manufacture affordable, high-quality, fully compostable & biodegradable sanitary napkins.
We have patents on our products & materials, on our machine, and patents being filed on the low cost processing of indigenous natural materials as key ingredients for our products. Aakar’s Anandi and Anandi Eco+ napkins are patented and certified globally and in India for being organic, natural and compostable. Aakar has won several awards and honours in India as well as globally for its R&D and products in the Menstrual Hygiene Health Management sector. Aakar has also already begun manufacturing and selling pantyliners. Soon, the company will diversify to manufacture children and adult/incontinence diapers.
As a committed mission-driven enterprise intent on social change, Aakar Social Ventures is simultaneously dedicated to social and gender upliftment through the creation of awareness and sensitisation to menstrual hygiene management.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing communication strategies, overseeing strategic communication initiatives, and ensuring consistent messaging across various channels.If you love challenging stereotypes, shaping bold conversations, and building a strong identity, this role is for you.
What You'll Do:
- Instagram lead multi platform content-driven marketing with a bold, educational voice
- Build a safe, inclusive community for open conversations on sensitive topics
- Develop a strong visual & narrative identity (bold, minimal, ethical, authentic)
- Drive influencer partnerships & regional campaigns with cultural sensitivity
- Measure growth through community engagement and campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong Communication skills
- 5–8 years in brand/digital/content marketing (D2C, FMCG, wellness/feminine care preferred)
- Skilled storyteller, confident addressing sensitive/taboo topics
- Strong eye for visual identity; able to balance education with entertainment
- Bold, empathetic communicator; culturally aware & resilient
- Passion for women’s health, body positivity & social change
Preferred Background:
- Experience in startups, D2C, or cause-driven marketing
- Prior work in feminine hygiene, wellness, or socially sensitive categories
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
