As a remote Senior Information Security Analyst, you will focus on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Your responsibilities will include implementing and managing cloud security controls, performing security assessments, and conducting penetration testing to identify weaknesses. You will analyze security logs and alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and develop incident response plans and procedures. Ensuring compliance with cloud security best practices and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) will be a key aspect of your role.
You will work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security into the cloud deployment lifecycle (DevSecOps). Developing and maintaining security documentation, policies, and procedures will be essential. You will also be involved in threat intelligence gathering, vulnerability management, and risk assessment. Providing guidance and support to junior security analysts and contributing to the continuous improvement of our security posture will be part of your remit. Staying current with the evolving threat landscape, new security technologies, and emerging cloud security threats is paramount. Your expertise will be vital in protecting sensitive data and ensuring the resilience of our systems against sophisticated cyberattacks.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on cloud security. Proven experience with cloud security platforms and services (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center) is required. Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management (IAM), and data loss prevention (DLP) is essential. Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability scanning tools is necessary. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications are highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for effectively responding to incidents and collaborating with teams remotely. This role demands a proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently and make critical security decisions.
