About the Role

We are seeking a Senior RF Engineer with specialized experience in RF communications and control systems for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and other military platforms. This role requires a strong background in RF telecommunication design, antenna systems, RF front-end (RFFE) development , and control system integration for tactical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and integration of RF communication platforms (e.G., 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth) into defence-grade UGVs and autonomous systems.
  • Design and simulate antennas, matching networks, and RF front-end modules using industry-standard tools (e.G., HFSS, CST, ADS).
  • Perform link budget, power budget, and range analysis for tactical wireless systems under military operating conditions.
  • Develop and validate transceiver modules for rugged platforms ensuring reliable data links under jamming/interference threats.
  • Create and review circuit schematics , and collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers for optimal layout, thermal, and shielding integration .
  • Conduct EMI/EMC simulations and validations in accordance with MIL-STD and ISO guidelines.
  • Oversee lab testing, bench validation.
  • Execute Over-the-Air (OTA) testing in shielded chambers for wireless compliance, range validation, and RF coexistence studies.

  • Design and implement grounding/earthing systems, ensuring spacecraft electrical systems are safely grounded.
  • Design and implement cable harness systems for spacecraft, ensuring that wiring and connections are optimized for mission success.
  • Perform manufacturing, testing, and documentation of electrical systems, ensuring designs meet performance and safety criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into spacecraft designs.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
  • 2-4 years in strategic control panel design, instrumentation, and control room engineering.
  • Proficiency in high-power motion control system calculations.
  • Expertise in control panel/control room design and standards.
  • Experience with space-grade cables and harness design.
  • Knowledge of noise control, EMI shielding, and relay-based safety interlocking.
  • Experience with earth pit design, lightning protection, and system validation.
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools such as KiCAD, Altium, Eagle or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with measurement instruments and harness manufacturing tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with AIT teams for electrical system integration into spacecra
