Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst with 3 to 6 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, hands-on experience with large data sets, proficiency in SQL and Python, and expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. This role demands strong statistical acumen, familiarity with research methodologies, and the ability to derive actionable insights through both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and other analytics tools.

Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and Tableau to support strategic decision-making.

Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and root cause investigations to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and deliver analytical solutions.

Apply basic statistical techniques and use tools such as R, T/Stata, or equivalent to support business and research initiatives.

Prepare and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders using MS PowerPoint and other communication tools.

Document analytical methodologies, data workflows, and project outcomes in a structured and comprehensible format.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (B.Tech/B.E. or B.Sc./BA).

Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.

3 to <6 years of experience in data analytics or a related discipline.

High-level proficiency in:

SQL and similar tools for querying and handling large datasets.

Python or equivalent programming language for data manipulation and automation.

Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

MS Office tools including Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.

Task description

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Statistics and Monitoring Specialist or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the Data Analytics Officer will:


• Support the Statistics and Monitoring Specialist in leading any existing or new advocacy, training, workshops. consultation between UNICEF (evidence section and programme colleagues) and key government and NGO partners to discuss data gaps and way forward with respect to SDGs monitoring at national level (e.g., statistical divisions and working groups inline ministries, NITI, ILO, RCO, other UN agencies)


• Manage and maintain UNICEF SDG dashboard (in Powe Bi) with regards to new child-related SDG data source and reports as and when made available.


• Conduct multisectoral equity analysis relevant for UNICEF sectors using large scale data sources and prepare technical briefs, presentations*/infographics and factsheets as per theneed. e.g. NFHS, SRS, U- DISE, MIS, POSHAN, etc.)


• Support in presentation for external meetings with GoI and note down key recommendations.


• Coordinate with KM focal point and maintain data repository on UNICEF ECM portal with respect to Data Analytics


• Support in updating the UNICEF Regional /Global Database with respect to key SDGs indicators


• Coordinate with program sections and consolidate Evidence for Children Data action plans for ICO


• Support in preparing briefs and concept note leveraging frontier technology for achieving outcomes for children (Technology, Big Data, AI)


• Any other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Statistics & Monitoring Specialist based on interest and need.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are encouraged to integrate the UN Volunteers programme mandate within their assignment and promote voluntary action through engagement with communities in the course of their work. As such, UN Volunteers should dedicate a part of their working time to some of the following suggested activities:


• Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant

You’ll be responsible not only for building advanced analytical models and insights but also for setting the vision and roadmap for data analytics in Fugistics. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end to end supply planning cycle, translating demand forecasts into supply plans for inbound/outbound/returns for fulfilment and logistics teams.
  • Collaborate with demand planning, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure adequate capacity is there to fulfill the monthly plan and ensure timely shipping and on-time deliveries.
  • Lead seasonal and promotional event planning including inventory build-up strategies, temporary storage solutions, manpower planning by partnering with cross functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor Key performance indicators including daily attainment, capacity utilization, promise quality etc.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Planners and Analysts and drive continuous process improvements across planning processes.

  • Champion automation and self-service tools to empower teams and reduce manual reporting.
  • Act as a thought partner to leadership, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for strategic investment.


What you’ll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Strategic Analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in e-commerce, supply chain, fulfillment, or logistics.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional analytics projects that drive measurable business impact.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, BigQuery, and modern data analytics tools.
