  • We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Senior Data Scientist to drive the global consumer sentiment analytics platform.

    The Data Audience Platform organization is at the forefront of developing and maintaining frameworks, tools, and data products vital to WBD, including flagship streaming product Max and other products such as Films, Sports, News and overall WBD eco-system. Our mission is to foster unified Gen AI, Machine Learning, Advanced analytics and drive data-driven use cases by leveraging a robust multi-tenant platform and semantic layer.     Roles & Responsibilities:  

    You will be responsible for building and scaling machine learning solutions for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Data, ML and Analytics organization. Your primary focus will be on unlocking business opportunities and building advanced machine learning models and inference pipelines at scale. You will lead by example, setting high standards for the team and the organization, and have a successful track record of ambitious projects across cross-functional teams. You will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of different types of data, metrics, and KPIs to identify and formulate data science problems that drive impactful solutions.

  • Lead the development of cutting-edge machine learning and data science solutions, including large language models, computer vision models, and advanced ad & content targeting.

  • Review and develop mathematical solutions to complex data science problems, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.

  • Utilize Agentic AI, Gen AI, and LLM-based models to formulate and identify business use cases, providing advanced insights and opportunities to move the business needle.

  • Define and implement best practices for the team, setting high standards for technical quality and innovation.

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership and business stakeholders, effectively communicating business insights and recommendations.

  • Manage and oversee data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

  • Leverage industry best practices and tools to continually improve the team's ability to build and deploy machine learning models.

  • Work closely with platform, content, user data, and product partners to expand and enhance data science capabilities.

  • Drive observability, scalability, cost-optimization, and performance tuning for data science models and services.

  • Motivate, inspire, and create a culture of experimentation and data-driven innovation, advocating for customer-centric solutions.

  • Collaborate with principal engineers to productionalize models and create a robust architecture for deploying machine learning solutions at scale.

  • Qualifications:

  • 12-14 years of experience in data science and machine learning algorithms, with at least 3 years of leading and managing a software development team.

  • Strong understanding of modern ML approaches (e.g., GBDT, CNN, LSTM, GRU, HRNN, transformer models, variational auto-encoders).

  • Experience with Classical ML Techniques, Deep Learning, NLP, LLMs, Causal Inference, and proficiency in ML tools and frameworks (Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Spark).

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

  • Experience with implementing and managing MLOps frameworks to enhance reproducibility, scalability, and maintainability of machine learning models.

  • Familiarity with real-world ML systems, including configuration, data collection, data verification, feature extraction, resource and process management, analytics, training, serving, validation, experimentation, and monitoring.

  • Experience with offline experimentation and A/B testing.

  • Good understanding of operating machine learning solutions at scale, covering the end-to-end ML workflow.

  • Understanding of batch and streaming data processing techniques.

  • Experience of Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.

  • Familiarity with agile practices and processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to technical documentation and provide on-call support.

  • BA/BS in Data science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, economics, industrial engineering, or other quantitative discipline is required. Masters/PhD is a plus.

    We are urgently looking for a Data Science Manager to head our growing data science team. You will join a team dedicated to creating a data driven culture and improving the efficiency and dependability of the way we make decisions. Our data scientists develop algorithms that enhance the collection process for our consumers, lead automation initiatives in the company, and help create insights to better understand our product and performance.

    We’re looking for a driven, hands-on data science manager to lead, mentor, and manage contributors on the team. You should have an excellent grasp of core machine learning techniques and a product-focused mindset, as well as a track record of growing and empowering data scientists to drive business value through modeling and experimentation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    o Build and lead the data science team to deliver world-class products.
    o Oversee the development of data science models from conducting code reviews to supporting launches while keeping the team accountable and impactful.
    o Give data scientists the tools and motivation to build predictive models that lead to business impact.
    o Apply data and algorithmic thinking to address business and domain problems.
    o Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams and Product Management to solve problems, identify trends and opportunities.
    o Lead the technical strategy of the data science team.
    o Roll up your sleeves to code, build, and integrate models as necessary.

    You have:
    o Previous experience as manager of data scientists and machine learning engineers
    o Hands-on experience with machine learning tools, techniques, and framework
    o Experience with building and productizing models, and iterating and improving them over time
    o Experience with advising leadership on decisions related to your field and expertise
    o Ability and desire to educate the rest of the company in data science concepts and techniques
    o Advanced degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science or equivalent
    o Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as experience strong foundational skills in Python, pandas, and SQL

    Ideally, you also have:
    o Solid understanding of experiment design
    o Experience with natural language processing techniques
    o FinTech background
