+ Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Oracle Database Administrator with expertise in **RAC, RMAN Backup & restore, Data guard, ASM, Patching, Golden Gate, DB Builds, Performance Tunning etc.**

**Position Overview**
In this role, you will be responsible for security, stability, standardization and documentation for multiple database platforms with a heavy focus on SQL Server or Oracle database administration. A strong understanding of general database security principals is required. The ability to understand and remediate database vulnerabilities while ensuring stability and availability of critical database systems is required.
This is a hands-on position and therefore requires an individual with the ability to coordinate and communicate on diverse projects utilizing Agile development life cycle while maintaining production support standards.

The Database Administration Advisor role is responsible working with the Cigna Information Protection team utilizing database monitoring, vulnerability reporting and remediation. (Guardium DAM, Guardium VA, Tenable)
Other key responsibilities include:
+ Independently analyze, assess, communicate, and document database vulnerabilities.
+ Coordinate with application teams as part of database remediation.
+ Independently assess risk and level of remediation effort.
+ Review and develop policies, standards, and best practices for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
+ Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills
+ Familiarity with shell scripting, python, and automation techniques
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is a plus
+ Familiarity with developing strong working relationships across the organization while driving database security standardization solutions across multiple database platforms
+ Maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations, with good conflict management, problem solving and customer service skills
**Required Experience & Education:**
+ 11-13 years of experience
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ Must have 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database management with a working knowledge of other RDBMS platforms: UDB, DB2 z/OS, MongoDB, and Postgres
+ Must have 10+ years of experience in Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Experience with database monitoring and vulnerability reporting tools (Guardium/Tenable)
+ Maintain a positive attitude in high pressure situations, with good conflict management, problem solving and customer service skills
+ Ability to multi-task, adapt and address issues in a timely fashion in an agile environment
+ Ability work independently and communicate clearly across teams
+ Ability to proactively identify and lead improvements to ensure security and stability in database environments
+ Experience in shell scripting, python, PowerShell and automation techniques
+ Experience with native database auditing options and Splunk
+ Experience with external and internal audit response is a plus
