The opportunity

We are looking for a proficient Teradata Database Administrator with over 6 years of hands-on experience in managing, tuning, and supporting large-scale, mission-critical Teradata systems. Candidate will be an expert in the full lifecycle of Teradata administration, from architecture and installation to performance optimization and troubleshooting. Candidate requires deep technical knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a strong focus on stability and performance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Experience of 6+ years of dedicated experience as a Teradata DBA, managing large, multi-terabyte to petabyte-scale systems in a production environment.
  • Experience in Teradata RDBMS about Teradata architecture, including parsing engines, AMPs, nodes, and the BYNET.
  • Experience in performance monitoring and tuning using Teradata Viewpoint, DBQL, and Explain. Must be adept at analysing and optimizing complex SQL.
  • Proficiency with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, FastExport, ARC).
  • Mastery of Teradata SQL and experience with Teradata Active System Management (TASM) for workload management.
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata backup and recovery processes and tools.

  • Implement and enforce robust security policies. Manage user profiles, roles, and authentication. Conduct regular access reviews and ensure compliance with data governance standards (, SOX, GDPR).
  • Develop, test, and maintain reliable backup and disaster recovery strategies using tools like ARC and NetBackup. Ensure Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) can be met.
  • Administer and support Teradata's fallback and clonal capabilities. Manage system outages and execute recovery procedures to ensure high availability.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts (BTEQ, SQL, Shell, Python) for routine DBA tasks, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience in supporting for production issues, Work closely with data architects, ETL developers, and business analysts to support their data needs and guide best practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams.

    Who we are looking for

    Looking for seasoned static data professional who will work with FX DBM operations team to create accounts in system for clients to execute foreign exchange trade.

    Respond to e-mail inquiries accurately and in a timely manner. Escalate and report issues, including systems related issues to the appropriate groups, track and ensure resolution.

    Ensure that all activities are executed correctly and timely, including any appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues.

    What you will be responsible for

    As Emerging Lead you will

  • Execute daily BAU activities of the SSGM Database Management team including:
  • Account Setup

    Standing Settlement Instruction Setup

    Misc. Static data maintenance

  • Track and monitor potential issues and delays
  • Address unique and challenging situations
  • Evaluate and enhance processes and procedures on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure accuracy of accounts set up in transaction systems and client static data
  • Maintain strong working relationships with North America peer teams like Operations, Onboarding, Middles Office, etc
  • Participate in the enhancement and maintenance of internal systems for workflow management and data storage
  • Resolve and escalate request specific and systematic issues proactively and in a timely fashion
  • Manage staff turnover and employee onboarding/training time
  • Coordinate Internal and External Audit / SOX /Compliance reviews
  • Coordinate system access and access reviews
  • Ensure the completeness control check for the day are done before leaving

  • 5+ years of experience in business or systems analysis, or as a key business resource on systems projects, preferably at a financial institution.
  • Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate and above preferably in Finance
  • B.COM, BBM/BBA. MBA (Finance), M.COM or any degree related to Finance or Commerce
  • Additional requirements:

  • Knowledge on Macros, SQL & MS Access Database queries

    We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Team Lead – Database Management to oversee the administration, optimization, and strategic use of our SQL Server databases. In this role, you will lead a team of database professionals, manage critical data infrastructure, and support data-driven initiatives, including A/B testing and experimentation using SQL Server to evaluate business performance and operational improvements.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of database administrators (DBAs) and engineers in maintaining and optimizing SQL Server databases.
    • Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and other data experiments to support product, marketing, and business decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and queries to support data experimentation and analysis.
    • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and security of all database systems.
    • Collaborate with product, analytics, and development teams to integrate database solutions into business processes and applications.
    • Establish best practices for A/B testing methodology, experiment logging, and test result interpretation within SQL Server.
    • Oversee database capacity planning, performance analysis, and ongoing system optimization.
    • Implement automated monitoring and alerting tools to proactively manage and support production environments.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance policies, data privacy laws, and regulatory requirements.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree or certifications preferred).
    • 6–8+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience designing and analysing A/B tests or experiments using SQL (including randomized group assignment, statistical significance checks, and segmentation).
    • Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, indexing, replication, and security.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based database environments (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server).
    • Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.


    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
    • Proficiency in scripting or automation.
    • Understanding of experimental design, hypothesis testing, and basic statistics.
    • Exposure to CI/CD workflows and DevOps principles related to database management.

    We’re looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team!

    The Database Administrator role is to manage and optimize the daily operations, performance, and security of our databases. The role involves hands-on administration, automation, and close collaboration with our Data Architect, Platform Engineers, and Developers. You’ll ensure data availability and integrity across both cloud and on-prem environments while supporting development teams and mentoring within the Platform team.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Database Operations & Ownership - manage and optimize MySQL 8.x (Percona) and other databases, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance through regular monitoring, maintenance, and health checks
    • Monitoring & Performance Tuning - optimize database performance by analyzing queries, tuning indexes, and ensuring system health and uptime. Troubleshoot issues like locking, replication lag, and failed jobs to ensure stable operations.
    • Automation & Tooling - automate routine DBA tasks, support database-related CI/CD processes, and manage schema migrations and data transformation scripts
    • Security & Compliance - manage database access, encryption, and compliance, while supporting security teams with audits, controls, and risk mitigation.

    Requirements:

    • 4+ years of hands-on experience in database administration roles
    • Proficient with MySQL ver.8 (Percona), including replication, performance tuning, and backup/restore procedures
    • Experience with monitoring tools and automation such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash or Gitlab
    • Strong understanding of data integrity, security, and compliance practices
    • Skilled in managing hybrid environments both on-prem and in the cloud
    • Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate when necessary, demonstrating initiative and ownership
    • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
