Join a product team of developers, designers, and a design systems manager and create a companywide Web Component based library and design system that will be adopted by a global suite of digital products.
We are looking for a designer who has proven experience with working on a design system within Figma and who is excited by creating scalable Figma components and intuitive documentation for other designers and product teams.

Key responsibilities and day to day tasks
- You will apply a product driven way of working and helping ensure the team’s backlog reflects the road map goals of the design system
- Designing new visual components and improving existing ones based on the design system backlog needs
- Working with your design system team to ensure visual and interaction design consistency at SKF ranging from Figma design to coded web components
- Documenting component and interaction pattern decisions and providing intuitive documentation in the design system hub
- You will have knowledge and a desire to learn about emerging trends
- You will have a lot of collaboration and alignment with other designers, developers and product teams to ensure the design system is evolving organically and remaining useful and relevant
Knowledge and experience required
- Design education / employed experience of 4+ years (internships excluded)
- Ability to create alignment and progress across a wide design community
- Proven experience in Figma
- Experience of Zero Height (or similar)
- Be comfortable talking to and helping designer from different teams as well as giving demos/presentations

About the team
Amazon Music offers rich audio entertainment for customers around the world. The Product Design team partners closely with Product, Engineering and Marketing to conceptualize, iterate, and deliver audio entertainment experiences across across a variety of platforms and modalities. We take a customer-centric and strategic approach to our work, leaning into data, elevating craft, and innovating along the way.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience in prototyping
- Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and other prototyping tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a highly agile environment
- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
