POSITION SUMMARY
The DevOps Manager will lead the continuous integration, version control, and automation services within the organization. This role is responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining the build and deployment infrastructure at ZeOmega. Additionally, the incumbent will oversee the packaging and delivery of customized software solutions.
The DevOps Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software development, quality assurance, and implementation to ensure smooth, timely delivery of high-quality software products and updates to stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain tools, scripts, installation procedures, and systems, including version control and issue tracking.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure software releases meet organizational standards.
- Manage the creation and release of software builds.
- Automate and continuously improve build and deployment infrastructure in partnership with team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve all release-related issues in collaboration with technical teams.
- Work flexible hours as needed to minimize impact on production systems.
- Administer, maintain, and upgrade build systems.
- Organize and manage packaging and deployment of internal modules and third-party vendor libraries.
- Provide leadership to drive the adoption and service excellence of DevOps practices across the organization.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 10–15 years of experience in build, release, and systems engineering with strong technical expertise.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices and tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, and Bash.
- Intermediate experience with Windows and GNU/Linux environments.
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.G., Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Buildbot, Go, CruiseControl).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, CVS, Perforce, ClearCase, Mercurial).
- Knowledge of build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Buildout.

We are looking for an accomplished and visionary professional for the role of **Associate Director, Software Engineering (Python - Full stack), DevOps & Data Engineering** to join our team and lead the development of cutting-edge software solutions. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires the fine balance of supervising and leading people while providing significant technical contributions to the projects you will be responsible for. As a key technical leader, you will leverage your expertise in full-stack development, DevOps best practices, Data analysis, AI/ML and Generative AI to lead your team in creating scalable, reliable, and efficient systems.
This role demands a strategic thinker and hands-on contributor who can work across multiple teams, drive innovation, and ensure technical excellence. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical roadmap, mentoring teams, and delivering transformative solutions that align with business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Technical Leadership:**
+ Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for scalable, resilient, and secure full-stack applications utilizing data powered insights.
+ Lead end-to-end software development projects from concept to deployment and maintenance.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Serve as a mentor and technical advisor to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
**Full-Stack Development:**
+ Design and implement scalable and high-performance web applications using modern front-end and back-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Python, Java).
+ Develop modular and reusable APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) with an emphasis on maintainability and performance.
+ Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems while maintaining best practices for UI/UX design.
+ Optimize database structures and queries for both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
**DevOps and Automation:**
+ Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
+ Ensure seamless deployment and scalability of applications through containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
+ Leverage infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
+ Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability through tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
**Shell Scripting and Automation:**
+ Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks, system monitoring, and application deployments.
+ Debug and troubleshoot production issues using scripting techniques to ensure minimal downtime.
+ Enhance system efficiency by automating log analysis, error detection, and reporting.
**Strategic Contribution:**

**Qualifications:**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
**Experience:**
+ 13+ years of experience in software engineering, including hands-on experience with full-stack development and DevOps practices.
+ Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact software solutions in a leadership capacity.
**Technical Expertise:**
+ Advanced proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, etc.).
+ Strong experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including architecture and deployment strategies.
+ Solid grasp of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and optimization techniques.
+ Proficiency in writing, debugging, and maintaining shell scripts for automation and system monitoring.
+ Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, and distributed systems.

Technical Skills
- 5-7+ years of experience as Devops / SRE / Platform Engineer.

- Expertise in managing large-scale cloud (preferably AWS and Oracle).
- Expertise in managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong skills in network services and protocols such as DNS, TLS/SSL, etc
- Solid understanding of security - network, service configurations, access control, IAM, etc.
- Deep knowledge & experience with Unix / Linux operating systems internals (Eg. filesystems, user management, etc).
- Expertise in skill sets for centralized logging systems , metrics, and tooling frameworks such as ELK, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana, etc.
