The primary accountability for this role includes, but not limited to

+ Responsible and ensure the team/organization meets the goals, milestone, and costs of programs. Assist in solving problems. Knock down roadblocks with rapid and appropriate escalation if not possible. Responsible for meeting Cost, Schedule commitments with the required quality for the Programs
+ Responsible for AOP commitments (fixed cost) such as hiring and retaining talent as per the program, demands, yield, fill rate, Capex/OpEx etc. for one or more products in V&V COE.
+ Drive Growth through new product ideations.
+ Responsible for working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, influencing them and drive upstream connectivity and change.
+ Responsible for driving BTIs and BTPs
+ Responsible for continual communication and reference to Burning Platform with team/organization and motivate the team to address the Burning Platform
+ Responsible to Identify, prioritize and deploy key improvement strategies/initiatives (e.g., Test design Automation, Frameworks, AI, Simulations, etc) across product lines and programs to drive improvements (Product quality, customer satisfaction, innovation Productivity and Cycle Time) in line with the Software V&V COE SDP priorities.
+ Drive common test environments, tools, processes, test methodologies across all projects. Drive Capex / OPEX, Infrastructure.
+ Cross collaborate across SBG V&V team, scale best practices.
+ Responsible for Talent strategies of the team, (Test Experts/Test Architects) as per the TRR and CDP plan. Develop strong technical leadership in the Product line.
+ Ensure the COE performance is linked closely to the business metrics such as on-time delivery, VPD, yield, product/project costing, innovation etc.
+ Develop strong leadership pipeline. Accountable for People Leadership (MRR/TRR) for his/her functional team.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
+ Minimum 15+ years' experience in software/systems test and development
+ Held Senior Engineering Manager or Equivalent role for a minimum of 3 years.
+ Exposure of working with multi-site, multi-culturally diverse organization
+ Strong technical and industrial automation domain skills with emphasis in the areas of software development, verification processes and certifications.
+ Experience across BA products in Software Development and system test
+ Experience with preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, baseline change management, risk mitigation, technical design reviews, management reviews, customer coordination meetings, cost/schedule/status reporting.

As the Director of Engineering for the Mechanical Center of Excellence (CoE) within WITEC's Transit Engineering team, you will lead the strategic, technical, and organizational development of mechanical engineering capabilities across global transit programs.
