Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, and scaling software products using Microsoft technologies. This role combines strong leadership capabilities with deep technical expertise, particularly in C#, .Net core, Microservices, React/ Angular, and SQL Server. The Senior Engineering Manager will set the technical direction, ensure engineering excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that align with business goals.

• Single point of contact for project development
• Sprint Planning and Execution with efficiency and quality
• Collaboration with onsite product management on setting backlog priorities

• Inculcate processes to improve product engineering (development and quality)

Responsible for career development of engineering staff members, including:

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with at least 2-3 years in engineering management and have managed multiple programs in parallel.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputed institution.
• Strong knowledge of system design and creating distributed systems in a public cloud
• Strong technical background in technologies like C#, .Net core, Microservices, React/ Angular, and SQL Server) with a minimum 5 years in web-based application development.
• Knowledge of GIT will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Managed hosting services like AWS is required.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with deep technical expertise in Go (Golang) to lead a team of backend engineers. You’ll be responsible for guiding the team’s technical direction, ensuring high-quality delivery, fostering career development, and collaborating closely with product and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of backend engineers working primarily in Go.
• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and best practices across the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and Compliance to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through best practices in design, development, and deployment.
• Manage sprints, prioritize engineering tasks, and remove roadblocks to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
• Experience with microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fintech or regulated industry.

Role: Engineering Manager

You will take the role of Engineering Manager. Expectations from the Role holder is to be a tech expert, to lead sprints with capable tech teams with a high people management quotient, and to prioritize tasks. You will manage multiple products/ tools and a team of 10+ members. You will be the owner of product delivery, sprint optimization and architecture development.

Location: Noida (Hybrid) / 5 days

Thorough knowledge in the selection of materials (material codes) based on its standard grades and specifications and as required by the major classification society or standards, such as DNV-GL, ABS, LR, Norsok, BS, EN, ISO, API.

Technical review of all materials certificates and properties required for shipbuilding and offshore projects received from vendors.

Experience in various hull structural design standards like DIN/JIS/Norsok as well as a good understanding of ABS, DNV, API, AISC and other related industry regulations and standards.

Strong background with resolution of technical issues during project engineering and execution phases.

Extensive knowledge of structural engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving.

Demonstrated ability with cost analysis, engineering design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result

Excellent program and project management skills with strong document management

Knowledge of using engineering 3D model software like Aveva E3D, Tekla, Cadmatic, Navisworks Manage, AUTO CAD, Autodesk Recap, HGG Procam, Sigma Nest and Rhinoceros 3D.

Demonstrates understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.

Day- to-day operations:

Provide leadership for the day to day direction of the DDW engineering team

Direct, review, and approve engineering designs and change

Understand the scope of Work for New Build(offshore construction) and Rig new build/ Refurbishment

Define and manage the scope of work for Engineering teams

Prepare technical specifications

Prepare engineering execution plan

Plan multidiscipline engineering activities

Manage detail design and production engineering teams

Receive and evaluate AFD, AFC documents from engineering companies

Liaise with client to get approval for Engineering work

Incorporate construction methodology in the design

Manage changes from client /vendors and engineering company

Produce/Check/approve Production deliverables / workshop drawings such as:

3D model development including Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EIT using Tekla /CADMATIC /E3D or similar

Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends / approve allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals

Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.

Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees as per department/project requirements.

Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence to meet departmental / project objectives.

Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department

Minimum Education & Qualifications:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Related Engineering Disciplines

Minimum of 15 Years Experience in offshore and Marine Industry

Minimum 10 Years Experience in Shipyard/ Offshore Yard Engineering management multidiscipline teams).

Minimum & Mandatory 10 years exp in Structural Production Engineering.

Technical Skills

• 5-7+ years of experience as Devops / SRE / Platform Engineer.

• Strong skills in network services and protocols such as DNS, TLS/SSL, etc
