Engineering Manager – Payments
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our payments-focused engineering teams. This role is pivotal in scaling our global payments ecosystem and ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our financial systems.
You will oversee several cross-functional teams, focusing on everything from payment provider integrations and subscriptions to invoices, taxes, and eCommerce store payments. You will also help expand our international payment capabilities and ensure compliance with regional regulations.

- Core Payments
- Subscriptions, payment integrations, order processing, tax calculations, and coupon management.

- Contract generation, digital agreements, and secure document management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & System Design
- Architect and scale global payment systems to handle high-volume transactions.
- Integrate with international payment providers and optimize payment flows.
- Improve systems for subscriptions, tax calculation, invoices, and coupon handling.
- Lead development of dynamic payment links and estimate generation tools.
- Drive real-time financial analytics and reporting.
- Enhance document and contract workflows to meet legal and financial compliance standards.
2. Global Payment Expansion
- Enable multi-currency support and cross-border transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax laws.
- Implement region-specific fraud detection and prevention mechanisms.
3. Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple payment domains.
- Establish and uphold engineering best practices and high-quality coding standards.
- Partner with Product, Finance, Risk, and Compliance to align engineering with business goals.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support career development.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Align technical solutions with business strategy and customer experience.
- Coordinate with external payment providers to enhance transaction reliability and security.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in system design and scalable microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of the global payments landscape, subscriptions, tax handling, and eCommerce systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Payment gateways , tokenization, and fraud prevention
- Node.js and NestJS for backend development
- Vue.js for frontend applications
- MongoDB and Elasticsearch for data management and search
- Experience in event-driven architectures and real-time transaction processing.

Job Summary:
The Contributor Manager role is a pivotal position focused on identifying roadblocks, proposing solutions for moving projects forward, and managing a squad of contributors for Managed Workforce Program to ensure the efficient execution of data annotation and quality assurance tasks to support assigned projects. This role entails engaging with team members, auditing tasks, providing feedback, conducting training sessions, and driving project performance. The Contributor Manager will have the authority to manage permissions, address concerns, engage in coaching conversations and recommendations regarding contributor performance management, and ensure the overall quality and productivity of the team.
Structure Overview
Contributors form squads; each squad holds from 30 to 50 contributors working on the same project and reporting to the same Contributor Manager.
Each Contributor Manager is managing one or more projects, for which the Contributor Manager must manage the allocated contributors, manage third party and internal tools, and take action to achieve project milestones.
Contributor Managers report to Senior Contributor Managers, who ensure that Contributor Managers understand and know the latest project goals and any project-specific instructions so they can provide feedback and the appropriate training to contributors.
Senior Contributor Managers require support and quality training from Contributor Manager. This will guarantee the correct retraining for each contributor and maximize project quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Knowledge and Communication:
- Coordinate and supervise project activities, ensuring that tasks are completed according to the project plan and within the specified timeline

- Clarify any doubts or issues raised by team members and relay project updates from STOs.
