The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic architecture, high availability, performance, and modernization of our Informix-based systems.
This is a leadership role involving both technical expertise and team management across global-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Lead the strategic planning, design, and management of Informix database systems across critical business functions.
2.Oversee performance tuning, security hardening, and high availability (HDR, ER) implementations.
3.Drive modernization initiatives including database upgrades, migrations, and integrations with cloud platforms.
4.Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and product teams for seamless data flow and system integration.
5.Define policies around backup/recovery (ontape, onbar), replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
6.Ensure compliance with security standards, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
7.Mentor and guide engineering and DBA teams; foster a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.

Knowledge and Education
• Bachelor's degree in management information system related degree, information technology, or
relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of Business Capability Management system administration/management experience
• Good understanding of manufacturing capabilities and related solutions (e.g. ERP, MES, LES)
• Proficiency in architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) and standards related to the
automotive supplier domain; certifications (LeanIX, TOGAF) are a plus
