Our client, a prestigious law firm specializing in corporate and employment law, is seeking an experienced Lead Employment Lawyer for a fully remote position. This senior role is vital for providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide spectrum of employment-related matters. You will be responsible for advising businesses on compliance with labor laws, drafting and negotiating employment contracts, and representing clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, a valid bar admission, and a minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in employment law. Your expertise will guide clients through complex legal challenges, ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations. Responsibilities include advising on issues such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, wrongful termination, and employee benefits. You will also develop and deliver training programs to clients on best practices in human resources and employment law. We are looking for an individual with exceptional analytical and advocacy skills, a thorough understanding of employment litigation, and a commitment to providing strategic, practical legal solutions. - Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, handbooks, and policies.
- Represent clients in employment litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA).
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise on disciplinary actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs for management and employees on employment law matters.
- Stay current with evolving employment legislation and case law.
- Manage a caseload and ensure timely and effective resolution of legal matters.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals on complex cases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their trusted legal advisor.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of substantive experience in employment law, representing employers.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in employment litigation and dispute resolution.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload in a remote setting.
