Our client is seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Senior Film Editor and Post-Production Supervisor to lead our post-production workflow. This hybrid role requires an individual with a keen eye for storytelling, exceptional editing skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the post-production process, from editing and color grading to sound design and final delivery. You will be responsible for managing the editing team, overseeing the entire post-production pipeline, and ensuring the highest quality output for our film and video projects. - Prepare final master files in various formats for different distribution platforms (theatrical, broadcast, online).
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in film editing and post-production.
- Conduct quality control checks on all final deliverables to ensure technical and artistic excellence.
- Manage post-production budgets and resource allocation effectively.
- Mentor junior editors and post-production staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Ensure efficient asset management and archiving of all project materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a film editor, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Expert proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer.
- Strong knowledge of color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve) and audio mixing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro).
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling visual stories and manage complex editing projects.
- Excellent understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, and delivery specifications.
- Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative hybrid environment, balancing remote creative input with on-site supervision.
- A strong portfolio of edited projects is required.
