● Leverage AI tools to drive efficiency and scale in the development of collaterals. Stay updated on emerging tools (AI), design trends, and digital marketing best practices to maintain a competitive creative edge.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or fine art

● 6-9 years of creative experience within an agency or startup environment

● Proven experience leading creative projects and managing high-performing design teams

● Familiarity in usage of AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI and ChatGPT) to enhance creative workflows is a must

● Expertise in online design and video tools like Canva or Figma and Invideo (Must)

Position: Lead Designer / Assistant Technical Manager – T4 / P2 (US Business- Highways - BIM).

Location: RMZ Bangalore

Responsibilities –

  • Supporting technical delivery of Complex multi-disciplinary Highways engineering projects.
  • Undertake designs, production and review of design including 3D Models, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications. Supporting the team as required in the development of design solutions.
  • Compliance with Quality, Safety, Environment, and governance procedures, thus ensuring work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards.
  • Supervise and oversee design, modelling and detailing including production of Civil3D, Open roads Models and extraction of information directly from the model to form 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables .
  • Supporting the preparation of specifications for construction, technical surveys, and design. Supporting the preparation of tender and contract documentation to various forms of contract.
  • Serve as a reviewer and a technical auditor to ensure technical assurance. Undertake self-checking and assist with technical checks of work undertaken by the team. Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.
  • Manage the Highways discipline 3D models, review model quality and technical content including clash detection and compliance with the BEP.
  • Work with the Information Manager and project teams to assist in the development and implementation of BIM strategies, BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and processes on projects in accordance with Atkins Corporate Standards, Client requirements and industry best practice.
  • Actively contribute to project design development by contributing to internal coordination, clash detection and design review sessions as well as external presentations to clients.
  • Provide over the shoulder support for junior staff, mentor and support them through technical training and live project work supervision.
  • Required skills and experience

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree holder in Civil Engineering with more than 10 years of experience delivering complex civil engineering projects, preferably from the Highways domain.
  • Experience in applying Level 2 BIM on projects and compliance to ISO 19650 standards. Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD and Roadside Design Guide.
  • Having experience working for US projects is mandatory.
  • Having US working visa would be an added advantage.
  • Experience of designing highway engineering solutions in accordance with the AASHTO or other equivalent international standards that are; ready for construction, embrace innovation and offer sustainable solutions to achieve project objectives.
  • Experience in all aspects of highway design including geometric design of links and all types of junctions using OpenRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D 2020 and Infraworks 2020 .
  • Preparation of reports such as feasibility studies, method statements, specifications, approval documents, design reports, schedules, construction drawings and bills of quantities
  • Experience in planning, costing and monitoring delivery of work packages within budget and programme and a working knowledge of the management of project finances by use of the change control process.
  • Must be an advanced or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D / Bentley Open Roads Designer tools with a minimum of 5 years of core experience .
  • BIM experience must include detailed understanding of the above tool’s user interface and all its features to perform corridor modelling for complex junctions and interchanges.
  • Must be able to create, manage and manipulate bespoke Civil3D styles to derive various alignment and corridor information, annotation and reporting. Must be able to derive and extract drawing deliverables, schedules, quantity take off and analysis results.
  • Highly IT literate, excellent command of standard Microsoft office software, knowledge of IT infrastructure and hardware. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional accreditation preferred, with US recognized professional Institutions.
  • Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Navisworks with capabilities to federate individual discipline BIM Models. Setup, maintain and run clash rules and clash tests across federated BIM Models. Must know how to create search sets, query, find and navigate through BIM Models.
  • Must be able to use Navisworks to generate clash results, manage clash resolution, redline BIM Models, capture viewpoints and cascade reports to discipline teams. Must be able to perform Navisworks model management.
  • Hands-on experience of industry standard Highways BIM Platforms such as Autodesk Infraworks and Bentley Openroads.
  • Computational / Generative design tool experience such as Autodesk Dynamo or Bentley Generative Components.
  • Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360 or ACC. Understanding and experience of handling Civil3D Data Shortcuts within the CDE Environment is a must.

The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of BIM, 5D technology, and project management methodologies, and be able to leverage this knowledge to lead successful projects.

    To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    Responsibilities:

  • Have performed Model-based take-off in the past and am passionate about Model-based Take-off and Costing to facilitate 5D.
  • Evaluate the client's EIR and project scope and collaborate with the client to strategize 5D implementation on projects.
  • Collaborate with Designers, BIM leads, and Cost Consultants to ensure the best utilization of 3D models for Costing.
  • Be accountable for project delivery starting from kick-off till submission of final output.
  • Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas through excellent verbal and written communication skills, resulting in successful collaborations and positive outcomes.
  • Act as a thought leader and drive organizational change for 5D implementation.
  • Conduct workshops with senior stakeholders (both internal and external) to identify challenges and develop effective strategies and solutions to complex problems.
  • Effectively manage resources, optimize workflow, and allocate resources.
  • Act as a single point of contact to effectively strategize, plan & deliver 5D projects.
  • Participate in bid discussions to understand the key requirements and suggest a relevant strategy for 5D implementation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of BIM professionals, providing guidance and training on 5D BIM processes, tools, and best practices. Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Develop the capability within the company to maximize 5D BIM techniques and act as the subject matter expert in 5D techniques and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in 5D BIM technology and best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements and innovation.
  • Perform detailed quality checks (both data-driven & model-based) on models for the accuracy of quantities.
  • Setup Quality Assurance processes for sense check of 5D models and project deliverables.
  • Follow an agile approach in defining Model-based Validation Processes specific to the project requirements and implement the same.
  • Keen to explore the learning of new tools and workflows which might be needed for different scenarios. Document new workflows for scalability and reusability.
  • Define processes for QA/QC of models and check compliance of models to client requirements.
  • Interact with clients and external stakeholders to manage delivery.
  • Setup Power BI dashboards to enable data-driven Validation.
  • Support project leadership in tracking delivery progress and identifying potential risks to delivery.
  • Supports the deployment of innovative processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience & Knowledge:

  • 8 - 12 years of overall experience in BIM Project Delivery for international projects.
  • Utilize 5D BIM tools and software to extract accurate quantity take-off and cost data from 3D BIM models. Collaborate with estimators to analyse, validate, and update cost estimates, ensuring accurate and comprehensive cost data for project budgets and schedules.
  • Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects experience as 5D projects usually involve Architectural, Structural & MEP disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing BIM delivery for large-scale projects leading a team of at least 10 members.
  • Experience in BIM Implementation in large-scale projects across multiple sectors & regions like Infrastructure, Buildings, Water, and Transportation is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of different Asset classification systems like Master Format, Uniformat etc.,
  • Knowledge and understanding of the construction process from a cost management perspective, including project budgeting, forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience in handling a wide range of stakeholders including Site Teams, Supplier, Client.
  • Experienced in acting as a mentor and demonstrated the ability to successfully scale up teams by cultivating a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • International experience working with global project teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and Information Management principles would be an added advantage.
  • Software Skill:

  • Proficiency in Revit with over 5 years of experience performing advanced tasks such as quantity take-off, model setup, family editing, managing shared parameters, model QA/QC, running Dynamo scripts, setting up worksharing, managing design options and phases, and integrating with other file formats to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong proficiency in any of the BIM Quantification and Analytics Tools– Assemble Systems, CostX, Synchro Pro, Bexel Manager, Fuzor, Vico office.
  • Experience in Navisworks Manage for model review & QA/QC, clash detection, data extraction.
  • Expertise in other BIM Authoring Tools is an added advantage – Tekla, Civil3D, Plant 3D, Bentley Open Suite.
  • Basic awareness of Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI & Microsoft Excel for pre & post processing of data management.
  • Awareness of iconstruct is an added advantage.
  • Expertise in setting up and managing projects on BIM360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of PowerBI or other data visualization tools for data processing and reporting quantities to the cost consultants.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Dynamo / Microsoft Power Automate would be an added advantage.
  • Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s qualification in Construction / Project Management would be an added advantage.
  • Certification in ISO19650 / BIM / 5D Tools would be an added advantage.
