To lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and vendor management for cosmetic manufacturing. The role ensures timely availability of materials, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and smooth coordination between production, quality, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Vendor Management
Identify and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, and third-party services.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
Ensure supplier compliance with cosmetic regulatory and quality standards (e.g., FDA, BIS, GMP).

2. Production Planning & Inventory Control
Develop monthly and weekly production plans in coordination with the production and sales teams.
Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Monitor material consumption, wastage, and ensure proper reconciliation.
Implement demand forecasting models to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
3. Logistics & Distribution
Manage inward and outward logistics efficiently.
Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and lead times.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products to distributors/customers.
Coordinate with 3PL/transporters for smooth operations.
4. Coordination & Compliance
Collaborate with R&D, QA/QC, and Production for new product launches and material planning.
Ensure adherence to GMP, ISO, and other cosmetic manufacturing standards.
Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
5. MIS & Reporting
Prepare and review SCM KPIs: OTIF (On-Time In-Full), lead time, inventory turnover, etc.
Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on supply chain performance.
