The Role
Reporting to the Manager – Management Accounting, the Management Accountant is a key contributor to the integrity and timeliness of transactional and reporting processes from record to report.
A central role within the organization, The Management Accountant partners with Operational Administration to ensure seamless, accurate and near real-time capture, translation and recording of financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of weekly & monthly management accounts with production & distribution of multi-site Flash and P&L reporting
- Accurate and timely processing of journals for revenue & expense recognition
- Analysis of financial performance for trend & variance analysis in addition to validation of accuracy & timeliness of accounts
- Development & preparation of key performance indicators
- Develop, implement & manage financial & economic models for the business
- Contribute to EOM close & reconciliation activities
- Work with cross functional partners to ensure compliance with company policies & process
- Identify & implement improvement opportunities for refining accounting & reporting processes
- Direct support to the Manager – Management Accounting & GM – Finance & Group Financial Controller with adhoc duties as required.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or other relevant discipline
- CPA/CA qualifications with 3-5 years’ experience
- Proven ability to work in and optimize data, systems & processes to promote integrity and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting
- Proven ability to develop a deep understanding of operations and the workflow & touch points with which to align to deliver accounting outcomes
- Self-motivated, problem-solving mindset with the ability to act as an agent of change for the organisation
- Exceptional verbal and written communication complimented by interpersonal skills that adapt to target audience horizontally and vertically across the organisation
- Advanced Excel; Power BI; AX Dynamics is an advantage.

About the role
As a Change Management Lead, you will be accountable for leading change management activities within the People & Impact portfolio and its initiatives, ensuring alignment with the 2030 People & Impact Strategy.
This role weaves the people strategy and initiatives into one overarching P&I change strategy, building a compelling and united change narrative - one that inspires action, drives enterprise-wide impact and enhances employee experience, helping bring the 2030 People Strategy to life.
Day to day, you'll:
- Partner with People & Impact Leadership Team, Initiative & Project Sponsors to build change strategy and plans that enable, and support leader led change delivery that optimises business ownership and employee experience.
- Lead discovery and early analysis activities for new initiatives (such as the Enterprise Agreement and Performance and Reward Framework) to facilitate understanding of the customer and business impacts and desired change approach of the initiative.
- Lead and manage change management activities, working alongside other specialist functions, such as Strategic Communications, People & Culture Managers and external consultants.
- Lead a high performing change team through ongoing mentoring, coaching and development of change managers/analysts to deliver quality outcomes.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to support effective decision-making in the program and projects through strong analysis and stakeholder consultation.
- Partner with the appropriate senior stakeholders to contribute to the development and continuous review and improvement of Change Management standards, practices, processes and tools.
This role is available as a 12-month secondment opportunity.
Although the preference is for the ideal candidate to be based in Brisbane, we are open to Sydney and Melbourne.
About you

In this critical role, you will primarily lead high level operational security matters within a critical infrastructure environment. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with flexible work options. We work 9-day fortnights with an RDO each fortnight. Not bad having a 3-day weekend every second week!

A Western Australian Security Consultant’s License OR eligible and willing to obtain one if you do not current possess.
You will have significant experience in effective stakeholder management and engagement, tactical leadership, along with effective communication skills.
We are ultimately in search for an individual who has extensive operational knowledge and experience of incident and emergency management practises within the State.
Knowledge of the relevant WA Security, Public Safety and Emergency Management Acts and Regulations.
The ability to prioritise, drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
Demonstrated understanding of the relevant security and emergency management sectors
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead corporate wide projects.
