We are seeking a seasoned manufacturing leader to serve as General Manager – Manufacturing at our Vadodara facility. This individual will lead four critical departments—Production, Purchasing, Stores & Planning, and Quality—ensuring efficient shop floor operations, robust supply chain coordination, and world-class quality control. The role demands a strategic thinker with deep hands-on experience in machine assembly, fabrication, and industrial engineering within the capital equipment manufacturing domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Operations Leadership
- Drive end-to-end operations across Production, Assembly, Fabrication, Paint Shop, and Machine Shop.
- Ensure timely execution of manufacturing plans with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Establish and enforce manufacturing SOPs, process sheets, routings, and control plans.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Lead procurement and vendor management for raw materials, consumables, and bought-outs.
- Ensure robust sourcing strategies to meet cost, quality, and lead-time objectives.
- Collaborate with stores and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
Production Planning & Control
- Develop monthly and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts and available resources.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely material availability and production readiness.
- Monitor production progress and drive actions to resolve bottlenecks.
Quality & Compliance
- Oversee quality assurance processes, audits, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure all products meet company and statutory quality standards.
- Work with internal teams on continual improvement and reduction of non-conformances.
Strategic Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Champion lean manufacturing, and other CI initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.

People Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team leaders.

Candidate Profile:
- 20–25 years of relevant manufacturing experience in capital equipment, machinery, or engineering industries.
- Age Criteria - 45-50 years Preferred
- Hands-on exposure to fabrication, machining, and machine assembly shop floors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with Indian labour laws, vendor ecosystems, and manufacturing best practices.
