Responsibilities:
- Driving the Vendor Development process by understanding the project requirements through Kick off and Design Review meetings, identifying vendors and conducting vendor visits to check capability to deliver products in time, implementing and managing projects to a successful conclusion. Establishing accountability, establishing timelines, and establishing goals.
- Ability to handle challenges in projects especially in vendor development area for Product and Process oriented manufacturing.
- Delivery of improvement in overall value (quality, cost, delivery, performance) from subcontracts.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders involved to develop the sub-contractor partner commercial and skillsets required to support and drive the strategy.
- Evaluate assigned contracts to identify, document, and manage key prime contract and subcontract risks in relation to scope, schedule, and terms through the life of the project.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Techno Commercial and Engineering & Operations for continuity and overall program effectiveness.
- Ensure that subcontract internal estimates are completed using internal standard norms for benchmarking purposes prior to award of the subcontracts.
- Develop/Maintain approved subcontractors list for the project and help updating company’s subcontractor database.
- Verify the invoices submitted by Subcontractors in accordance with the Methods of Measurement defined in the Subcontract.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience
- B.E (Mechanical/Production)
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Stainless steel manufacturing experience
- Preferred to have basic CAD/3D Modelling knowledge
- High on vendor relationship management, co-operative, disciplined with good inter-personal skills, team player and self- driven, result oriented.
