+ Working towards achieving 7S score in B and C area .
+ Taking leadership to trained new and existing manpower as per skill enhancement plan.
+ Promoting Kaizen and taking lead to increase the quantity as well as to take lead to complete the kaizens which are in under process to meet co. target as per agreed.
+ Working towards to achieve group KPI like OR, DLE, UR and productivity as per target.
+ Development of cell leaders.
+ Daily monitoring of production and take appropriate action to bridge gap if any.
+ Involvement in ISO system and IRIS certification.
+ Should increase knowledge of MS word, Excel, and power point by providing training by Co.
+ Fulfilment of documentation activity like work to be carried out as per work instruction, daily check sheet, safety work instructions and two-minute warning.
+ Identification of near miss and action for their closer.
+ Line and safety QRQC closer on daily bases.
+ MO closing on daily bases and report extraction.
+ Validation of safety check sheet as per requirement and bridge the gap if any.

**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven **manufacturing leader to be second in command** of our large manufacturing facility in Hosur. The position will be responsible, for overseeing the full manufacturing scope of the site, including manufacturing, for working closely with supply chain team for material availability and cross-functional leadership for achieving key deliverables. This includes ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, financial performance, quality, and employee safety across the facility.
The ideal candidate will possess strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and a proven track record in leading large, diverse teams through both routine operations and crisis situations. The **position will** oversee a site with an annual revenue of $200M+ and manage multiple product lines and a workforce of 400+ people, both WABTEC employees and outsourced manpower. Responsible for meeting sales and operational deliverables.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Site Operations:** Provide strategic & tactical leadership to the site, ensuring that all operations, from manufacturing and support functions, are running smoothly. Will work closely with a cross-functional team like Quality, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), Materials, Fulfilment, Process Engineering , Admin, and Maintenance.
+ **Financial & Operational Performance:** Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives, ensuring that the site meets or exceeds its financial and operational targets.
+ **Manufacturing & Production:** Oversee the management of multi-product lines, ensuring that production schedules are met on time, quality standards are adhered to, and the site maintains operational efficiency. Ensure that manufacturing processes are optimized to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
+ **Crisis Management & Problem Solving:** Act as the lead problem-solver in times of crisis, whether it's a supply chain disruption, production delay, or team conflict. Provide direction and guidance to resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
+ **People Leadership & Development:** Lead and motivate a large team of salaried and hourly employees. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture and ensure that employees are trained and developed. Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
+ **Quality & Compliance:** Oversee and ensure that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Work closely with the Quality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
+ **Stakeholder Management:** Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and strategies. Work closely with senior management to support business needs and strengthen relationships.
+ **Process Improvement:** Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the plant. Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and work to implement solutions that improve productivity and reduce waste.
+ **EHS Leadership:** Champion health & safety standards across the site. Ensure that the plant complies with all relevant environmental and safety regulations, and lead efforts to minimize the environmental footprint.
Additional Job Description
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
+ Master's degree or advanced business qualifications (e.g., MBA) are a plus.
+ **Experience:**
+ 15+ years of experience in a medium or heavy engineering environment, with at least 5+ years in a capacity of manufacturing head.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multi-functional teams across operations, manufacturing engineering, quality, and materials.
+ Experience in managing large teams (400+ employees) and both salaried and outsourced manpower.
+ **Skills & Competencies:**
+ Strong operational and financial management skills with the ability to drive cost-effective and productive solutions.
+ Expertise in manufacturing processes, production systems, and operational performance metrics.
+ Ability to effectively lead, develop, and engage a diverse team.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and functions.
