We are seeking a seasoned manufacturing leader to serve as General Manager – Manufacturing at our Vadodara facility. This individual will lead four critical departments—Production, Purchasing, Stores & Planning, and Quality—ensuring efficient shop floor operations, robust supply chain coordination, and world-class quality control. The role demands a strategic thinker with deep hands-on experience in machine assembly, fabrication, and industrial engineering within the capital equipment manufacturing domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Operations Leadership
- Drive end-to-end operations across Production, Assembly, Fabrication, Paint Shop, and Machine Shop.
- Ensure timely execution of manufacturing plans with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Establish and enforce manufacturing SOPs, process sheets, routings, and control plans.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Lead procurement and vendor management for raw materials, consumables, and bought-outs.
- Ensure robust sourcing strategies to meet cost, quality, and lead-time objectives.
- Collaborate with stores and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
Production Planning & Control
- Develop monthly and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts and available resources.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely material availability and production readiness.
- Monitor production progress and drive actions to resolve bottlenecks.
Quality & Compliance
- Oversee quality assurance processes, audits, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure all products meet company and statutory quality standards.
- Work with internal teams on continual improvement and reduction of non-conformances.
Strategic Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Champion lean manufacturing, and other CI initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Lead strategic operations planning and implementation in alignment with company goals.
- Implement performance KPIs across all functions and conduct regular operational reviews.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Identify internal talent for succession planning and career progression.
ERP & Technology Enablement
- Ensure full utilization of ERP (preferably MS Dynamics NAV/Business Central) across departments.
- Implement data-driven decision making and digital tools to improve operational visibility.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure strict adherence to factory safety norms and EHS compliance.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and preventive practices across all levels.
Candidate Profile:
- 20–25 years of relevant manufacturing experience in capital equipment, machinery, or engineering industries.

Mission Statement
Assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including: Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
