The Role
We're seeking a hands-on Customer Marketing Operations Director to bridge the gap between marketing strategy and flawless event execution. This role combines agency-side client management with operational excellence, ensuring our events deliver measurable marketing results while leveraging our core strengths in audience intelligence and vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Event Marketing Operations
- Liaise with Event Production team to ensure end-to-end event production, from initial strategy development through post-event analysis for multiple concurrent client campaigns
- Translate client marketing objectives into targeted event experiences using our proprietary audience intelligence
- Coordinate with creative teams to ensure event design aligns with broader marketing campaign goals
Client Partnership & Campaign Management
- Serve as primary operational point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Lead client calls, present campaign strategies, and provide regular performance updates
- Collaborate with account management to develop integrated marketing campaigns where events drive lead generation and brand engagement
- Manage campaign timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple clients simultaneously
Team Management
- Oversee a team of 20-30 full-time employees which includes:
- Regional Customer Success Managers (Direct Reports)
- Audience Acquisition Team Leads (Direct Reports)
- Campaign Specialists (Managed by CSMs)
- Data Research Associates (Managed by CSMs)
Performance & Analytics
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, connecting event activities to marketing outcomes and ROI
- Use audience data and campaign insights to continuously optimize event experiences and operational processes
- Provide detailed post-event analysis and recommendations for future campaigns
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 12-15 years of progressive experience in marketing operations, event marketing, or experiential marketing with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Proven track record managing events at marketing agencies or in-house marketing teams
- Experience with both micro-events and large-scale productions across various industries
- Background in campaign management with understanding of marketing attribution and ROI measurement
Skills
- Strong project management capabilities with experience using tools like Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms
- Vendor management experience including contract negotiation and relationship building
- Proficiency with marketing technology stack including CRM systems, event platforms, and analytics tools
- Understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and cross-channel optimization
Competencies
