The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all clinical and medical departments within the hospital. Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Governance & Administration:
• Oversee daily operations of medical departments, consultants, and clinical services.
• Ensure availability and efficient functioning of medical manpower across departments.
• Drive implementation of hospital protocols, clinical SOPs, and guidelines.

• Quality & Compliance:
• Support NABH, JCI, or other accreditation and quality initiatives.
• Monitor clinical audits, infection control practices, and incident reporting.

• Doctor Engagement & Credentialing:
• Manage doctor onboarding, credentialing, privileging, and engagement.

• Participate in clinical review meetings, mortality audits, and MRCs.

• Patient Care & Support:
• Facilitate clinical grievance redressal and medico-legal support.
• Monitor patient safety indicators and drive improvement initiatives.

• Strategic & Operational Initiatives:
• Contribute to hospital planning, budgeting, and capacity optimization.
• Support medical strategy for new programs, specialties, or service lines.

We are hiring a highly experienced and visionary Chief of Medical Services (CMO) to join a reputed and established hospital known for delivering exceptional healthcare. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of progressive clinical and administrative experience , with strong leadership in managing multi-disciplinary hospital operations. This is a senior executive role that directly influences patient care outcomes, medical staff performance, and compliance with clinical governance standards.

The Chief of Medical Services will serve as the strategic head of all clinical departments, overseeing medical operations, quality control, patient safety, and coordination between hospital administration and clinical leadership. This individual must ensure alignment between the hospital’s clinical goals and operational strategy while maintaining the highest standards of care, ethics, and professionalism.

• Lead and oversee all clinical services and hospital departments, ensuring seamless integration of medical operations with administrative and support functions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency .
• Act as the primary liaison between hospital administration, medical practitioners, and department heads.
• Monitor and improve quality indicators, patient satisfaction scores, and adherence to medical protocols and clinical governance.
• Recruit, supervise, and guide senior consultants, physicians, and clinical managers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Collaborate closely with Quality, Nursing, HR, Operations, and Finance departments to maintain clinical excellence and operational synergy.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including NABH, JCI, and other quality accreditation standards.
• Take the lead during medical audits, incident reviews, and root cause analyses of adverse events or patient grievances.
• Facilitate regular medical staff meetings, training sessions, clinical audits, and case reviews to promote quality improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Drive the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices , digital health records, telemedicine initiatives, and other modern healthcare delivery tools.
• Represent the hospital’s medical division in external forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and strategic planning committees.

• MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in a clinical specialty is mandatory . MHA/PGDM in Hospital/Healthcare Administration is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience , with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as CMO, Medical Superintendent, or Medical Director in a tertiary care hospital.
• Demonstrated excellence in managing clinical operations, multi-specialty teams, and large-scale hospital environments.
• In-depth knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI), clinical governance, and medico-legal aspects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance clinical insight with administrative decision-making in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in hospital information systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and digital health tools is preferred.
