Job Summary
In this role, you will work with the Project / Engineering Team to prepare schedules. Prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
Major Responsibilities
- Prepare schedule data for various stages of project.
- Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty.
- Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure.
- Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties.
- Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements.
- Prepare 2-Week / 4-Week look ahead and load resources, as required.
- Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule.
- Monitors and validate subcontractor schedules.
- Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
- Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management is customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. This includes using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction, and procurement practices.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
- Proficiency with Projects Controls operating systems, with proficiency in several software applications.
- Prior planning / scheduling experience of EPC projects in Oil & Gas Refinery / Unit, Fertilizer or Process Plants.

Responsible to develop and maintain the project schedule (internal and customer schedule) in order to manage efficiently the time commitments of the project (tender, contract or program execution).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In tender:
- Analyse the schedule management requirements of the Customer (contractual tool, schedule structure, reporting constraints,),

- Detail and update the project schedule based on the contractual targets and data provided by all stakeholders,
- Propose the project baseline, and ensure its acceptance (internally and by the Customer)
- Ensure the consistency of all the internal and external Stakeholders commitments, and manages the schedules interfaces,
- Organise and lead periodic project schedule sessions,
- Actively participate to project core team meetings
- Provide a timely updated schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline,
- Focus on early identification of potential delays,
- Prepare schedule and progress reports for Customer or Lead Unit or Partners,
- Provide support to Project Manager on all issues related to projects schedule,
- For Reference Library, develop and maintain the schedule templates,

- Apply the Project Scheduling Process,
- Contribute to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices.
Performance measurements:

- on-time delivery of all tender deliverables requested to fulfill RFP requirements,
- on time delivery of schedule analysis for decisions by the Tender Team : critical path, compliance with tender strategy related to contractual milestones, planning risks, mitigation plan and list of ambitions.

Solar Hitech Solutions is a leading Solar Projects firm specializing in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors across India. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Planning Engineer to join our team in Mumbai.
The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of all projects in the company. This is an office-based role, and the Planning Engineer will collaborate closely with on-site project teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, for all solar projects in the company's portfolio.
2. Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against established milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely completion and identify any potential delays or bottlenecks.
3. Resource Management: Coordinate with project teams to ensure the availability and allocation of necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to support project schedules and objectives.
4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality, and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project status updates, including key
milestones, progress, and any deviations from the plan, to internal and external stakeholders. May involve site visits from time to time to interact with client side project stakeholders.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including project
schedules, progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
7. Quality Assurance: Work closely with project teams to ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize project planning and execution processes, and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Additional certifications in project management or planning will be an advantage.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning and coordination,
MEP,preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
3. Technical Skills: Excel skills mandatory. Preferable but not mandatory experience in project
management tools and software such as Asana, Zoho Projects, Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and techniques and of the Solar PV/Solar
Thermal project lifecycle will be a bonus
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess project risks, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
6. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize
tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate project documentation and adherence to project requirements.
8. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate
flexibility, and contribute to a positive team environment.
9. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines, and
effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
