Product Manager - Purpose & Role Description


As a Product Manager, youd be solving real user problems - whether faced by students, internal teams (admissions, sales, placement, ops, marketing), or external leads - by building new features or integrating third-party tools that streamline workflows, improve user experiences, and drive measurable business outcomes.


This role drives product ideation, owns the success of features and tools, manages delivery with the tech team, and works closely with domain heads to ensure that every initiative creates a meaningful impact.


You will own the entire product lifecycle-from discovery and solution design to development, launch, and post-release iteration-to ensure every initiative delivers meaningful impact.


Whatd you be responsible for:


  • Conducting user research and driving product discovery, with a goal of validating at least 3 user problems per quarter that eventually lead to successful product outcomes.
  • Launching and managing product or feature rollouts, ensuring that at least 80% of these achieve their intended usage and adoption metrics.
  • Coordinating with the tech and domain teams for execution, with the aim of delivering 90% or more of all projects within agreed timelines.

  • Write clear and concise product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.


  • Product Development Support
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and QA teams during the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and product demos.
  • Help ensure high usability and global-quality user interfaces.
  • Coordinate testing efforts and assist in product validations, demos, and POCs.


  • Cross-functional Coordination
  • Work with marketing and sales teams on go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements.
  • Maintain updated product documentation, decks, and collateral materials.


  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Track product KPIs and user behavior to evaluate product success.
  • Support analysis of usage data, adoption patterns, and feature performance.
  • Assist in prioritizing features, enhancements, and technical debt based on business impact.




Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in product management or relevant roles (Business Analyst, Product owner,Product Management, etc.).
  • Exposure to SaaS, B2B, or Data Analytics products is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.



Required Skills



  • Understanding of cybersecurity, big data, or machine learning concepts.
  • Experience working with defense, BFSI, or government technology domains.
  • Basic knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, or analytics platforms.
