Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing sector, is looking for a highly skilled Product Development Manager with a proven background in apparel labels and packaging. The role requires strong technical know-how, excellent costing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to commercialization. The selected individual will lead a team of product development professionals, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure innovative, cost-effective, and compliant product solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Spearhead the end-to-end development of labels and packaging products in line with brand and customer requirements.
- Create and present mock-ups, prototypes, and design approvals in collaboration with account management teams.
- Ensure testing, compliance, and regulatory approvals for all new developments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enable smooth transition from development to large-scale production .
- Investigate and resolve technical challenges related to components, packaging methods, or product performance.
- Drive costing exercises and supplier negotiations to achieve the best possible pricing for new developments.
- Monitor and evaluate manufacturing performance to meet quality and operational benchmarks during product launches.
- Facilitate pre-development meetings , prepare documentation, and circulate clear minutes to stakeholders.
- Handle multiple projects and brand portfolios simultaneously , ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the product development team, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
PRE-REQUISITES
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in apparel-related labels and packaging product development.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing product development teams .
- Solid expertise in project management with exposure to complex product portfolios.
- Knowledge of Offset or Gravure printing techniques is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management is desirable.
- ERP experience is required (SAP preferred).

- B Pharma degree is mandatory.
