About the team

The Scaler Business Operations team ensures high-quality learning experiences and that the right career outcomes are provided to learners as part of the Scaler online vertical. This means managing and optimising the day-to-day activities and processes of the functions that the team oversees: onboarding, participation, experience, and placement. This team plays a critical role in achieving the company's strategic goals and objectives through effective internal and external coordination with the learners and execution of mission-critical problem statements. 

Role & Responsibilities of a PM/Sr. PM

  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges to ensure smooth execution.
  • Conduct pre- and post-mortems to troubleshoot issues and implement damage control as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with instructors, product teams, and support teams to drive program success.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of stakeholder management, including onboarding, training, work assignment, performance evaluation, payments, and deboarding.

  • Track and manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks with precision and timeliness.
  • Ensure high-quality, error-free deliverables that exceed team standards.
  • Monitor and report workstream progress to support strategic decision-making.
  • Draft policies and document processes to enhance efficiency and standardisation.
  • Leverage internal tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools) for data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process automation and optimisation strategies.
  • Independently manage and scale multiple workstreams simultaneously.

    Program Leadership:

    + Lead the end-to-end planning, driving accountability in teams towards delivery of major initiatives within the product domain

    + Coordinating annual & quarterly portfolio planning
    + Proactively identify, assess and mitigate Product Group-level risks
    **Deliver & execute** **all initiative tracking, including workforce allocation against business defined goals and budget guardrails, and value tracking for limited availability releases and recent GA release. You will also:**
    + Ensure Jira can deliver consistent portfolio-level reports, while enforcing adherence within the teams for the collection of core data
    + Identify key dependencies across the product group and the wider portfolio,, ensuring these are picked up and owned by the appropriate Engineering Manager.
    Seek out continuous improvement by working alongside other Program Managers to drive a common approach to portfolio management for process, tools & people. You'll establish portfolio execution KPIs at the Product Group Level, while seeking out ways to drive improvement initiatives to improve those KPIs.
    **Provide coaching and development** **to the teams related to agile delivery best practices.**
    **General Background and Experience** **required for a Program Manager:**
    + 8-10+ years of agile program management experience Engineering Product Domains
    + At least 3+ years managing complex Engineering initiatives for a Product Group, which comprises multiple product domains.
    + Experience working with distributed Engineering teams across time zones, in a global organization.
    + Extensive expertise of agile program management discipline and methodologies.
    + Demonstrated ability to facilitate, lead, organize and motivate matrix teams while working across team dependencies to achieve Program results within defined project milestones and identified timelines.
    + Excellent time management, communication (written, verbal), and organization skills across multiple levels and functional areas, with a strong ability to cohesively synthesize data and key points for both internal and executive consumption.
    + Excellent knowledge of change management methodology.

    About the Role


    We are seeking an experienced and motivated AI Program Manager to lead and coordinate multiple AI initiatives across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving progress across several AI tracks, curating high-quality content and demos, enabling knowledge management, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will combine a strong foundation in AI with excellent program management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.


    Responsibilities


    • Program Management: Plan, track, and manage execution of multiple AI initiatives; define milestones, deliverables, and success criteria; monitor risks and drive resolutions.
    • AI Content & Demo Curation: Curate and maintain a library of AI solutions, demos, and assets; partner with technical teams to create compelling demos; support creation of knowledge artifacts.
    • Knowledge Management & Enablement: Establish and maintain AI knowledge repositories; ensure collateral is updated; drive knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams; facilitate governance reviews; act as a bridge between technical and business teams.


    Qualifications


    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). Certifications in Program Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are desirable.
    • Experience: 12–16 years overall experience with at least 4–6 years in program/project management. Strong exposure to AI/ML, Data Science, or emerging tech programs. Experience managing cross-functional initiatives with global teams.

    Required Skills


    • Technical/AI Skills: Solid foundation in AI concepts (ML, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs, model lifecycle). Familiarity with AI tools, platforms, and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP). Ability to evaluate AI use cases and articulate business value.
    • Core Competencies: Strong program and portfolio management skills; excellent stakeholder management and executive communication; high degree of collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving; ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
