General Responsibilities

As a Project Financial Analyst, you will support the financial and operational success of consulting engagements within Halloran. You will partner with Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Account Managers, Service Line Leads, and Operations and Finance team members to establish and monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Your work will drive data-driven decision making, improve project efficiency, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.


You are required to be working in in the EU shift.


Characteristic Duties

  • Project Management Operations & Delivery Support
  • Make sure project guidance and operating model are understood and applied by project team members
  • Bring methodology support to project stakeholders in executing project activities and cross functional communication
  • Analyze activity and performance reports, including budget/cost/resources/ KPI follow up and control.
  • Creation and maintenance of projects in Information Systems.
  • Monitor simultaneous projects.
  • Create and deploy action plans.
  • Conduct/facilitate meetings
  • Ability to analyze processes and find out root causes to propose improvement solutions
  • Partner with Project Managers on project setup, governance, and close-out activities.
  • Provide financial insights during project kick-off, status, and closeout meetings.
  • Support resource analysis and staffing prioritization to optimize project delivery.


Project Finance & Analysis

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Conduct variance analysis on revenue, expenses, and margins; communicate insights and corrective actions.
  • Track and report on KPIs including utilization, realization, contract burn rates, and bookings vs. billings.
  • Support pricing and margin analysis for proposals and ongoing engagements.


Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for consultants, service leads, and leadership.
  • Serve as financial liaison to project teams, clearly communicating project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to practice and business reviews by compiling data, identifying trends, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement & Strategic Support
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives around project management processes, financial planning, reporting, and project data integrity.
  • Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with sales and practice development teams during project assessment phases to evaluate feasibility and profitability.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Business, or related field.
  • 4-6+ years of experience in project management, financial analysis, project finance, or project operations within consulting, life sciences, or professional services.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Familiarity with business/financial systems (e.g., Salesforce, Intacct, Nexonia, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.


Preferred:

  • Experience in life sciences consulting (biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, or medical device) or management consulting.
  • Knowledge of consulting KPIs such as utilization, realization, project margin, and client profitability.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, or predictive modeling.

THE ROLE

As part of a large-scale transformation program launched in 2020 to transform the Finance function, a new Finance core model has been established to support our activities. In alignment with the ambition of the Group's Financial Division, our ERP solution SAP has been defined as the core of the key components of this core model.

Currently deployed in over 40 countries, the goal is to further expand its deployment within the Group’s entities. Additionally, new Finance initiatives have been launched recently with the aim of implementing advanced tools to standardize and enhance the effectiveness of certain business processes.

It is within this ambitious and dynamic context that you will be involved and report to the Finance Projects & Processes (FiPP) department. Established in 2023, this department supports the Group Finance function in its projects related to system, process, and organizational development. More specifically, you will join the domain responsible for the SAP ERP Group scope.


YOUR ROLE :

As a project manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of deployment or optimization projects of our SAP solutions, from the establishment of the roadmap to the transition to the support teams. You may also be involved in initiatives related to the implementation of new solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating subcontracting and 360-degree project management.

In addition to your assignments related to the management of the projects entrusted to you, you will also play a key cross-functional role within the domain and actively participate in defining and implementing its short, medium, and long-term ambition and strategy.

In this perspective, your responsibilities will primarily focus on the following areas:

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

•A graduate with a Master's degree (Bac +5) from a business school, engineering school, or a higher degree in Accounting and Finance.

•At least 3 years of project management experience, particularly in the implementation of ERP Finance solutions, ideally SAP.

•Your knowledge of General Ledger and processes, particularly international accounting, combined with a strong understanding of information systems, will enable you to perform this role effectively.

•Your proficiency in project management techniques and team coordination will be essential to successfully delivering projects within the established deadlines.

Role Overview



We’re seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Project Accounting Consultant (D365 FO) to lead functional design, configuration, testing, and go-live support for finance and project accounting streams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on consultant with deep functional knowledge of D365 Finance, strong project accounting experience, and proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners. This position requires working US Eastern Time hours and an immediate start.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead functional discovery sessions for finance and project accounting; capture business processes, requirements, and gaps.

  • Design and configure D365 Finance modules - General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, and the Project Management and Accounting (PMA) module.

  • Implement project accounting features - project setup, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, WIP, revenue recognition, project billing and intercompany project flows.

  • Map business requirements to system functionality; propose fit-gap solutions and prepare functional design documents.

  • Collaborate with technical developers to translate functional requirements into extensions | customizations, integrations, and data-migration scripts.

  • Lead testing activities - unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing; prepare test scripts and coordinate testers.

  • Execute or oversee data migrations for master data, opening balances, and historical transactions; validate and reconcile results.

  • Provide go-live and hypercare support, troubleshooting functional issues and stabilizing business processes.

  • Coach and train business users; prepare user guides and run knowledge-transfer sessions.

  • Contribute to pre-sales and scoping efforts by estimating effort, identifying risks, and defining phased rollouts.

  • Maintain strong documentation of configurations, customizations, and operational runbooks.



Required Skills & Experience




  • 6–8 years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (FO) consulting experience with demonstrable project delivery for finance and project accounting.

  • Strong functional knowledge of D365 Finance modules listed above and deep expertise in Project Management & Accounting (PMA).

  • Proven experience configuring project contracts, funding, project forecasting, resource consumption, and project invoicing.

  • Solid understanding of financial processes - GL, AP, AR, cash management, fixed assets, intercompany, and revenue recognition.

  • Experience with data migration tools|approaches (Data Management Framework, templates, staging) and reconciliation techniques.

  • Experience working with integrations (e.g., payroll, time/expense systems, PSA tools) and common middleware patterns.

  • Ability to author clear functional specifications and to validate technical deliverables.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to run workshops and present to senior finance stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working US Eastern Time hours (overlap with US business day required).

  • Immediate availability to start.

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications related to Finance and Operations or Project Management & Accounting.

  • Experience in manufacturing, Distribution, Oil & Gas, professional services industries.
