About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mental health consultations (online or offline) with empathy and professionalism.

- Handle inbound and outbound client inquiries and follow up to ensure conversions.

Requirements:
- Female candidate, age 21–40 preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
- Fluent in spoken and written English; strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Prior experience in counseling, mental health services, or wellness sales is an advantage.
- Empathetic, patient, and confident in client interactions.
- Comfortable working with targets and performance metrics.

Overcome is a UK-registered charity (Charity Number: ) that provides cost-effective online mental health for those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access support. We’ve seen 2800+ clients over the past 2 years who on average, gain two points of happiness on a 0 to 10 scale over their first six sessions.
We’ve run two RCTs on insomnia (n = 36) and procrastination (n = 117). Intervention effects were d = 1.17 and 1.25 for insomnia severity and sleep quality, and d = 1.52 and 0.93 for procrastination and life satisfaction (+1.2 points), all p <.001. ≥80% completed the treatment, and the cost per treatment was <$30 per person all inclusive.
This level of cost-effectiveness was made possible by the aspiring mental health professional volunteers who delivered the intervention. We accept the top 5% of 300+ monthly applicants and teach them a carefully selected set of techniques fromCBT, ACT, coaching, and motivational interviewing.
The Role
We are looking for a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist to join us in a part-time advisory role. The role will start with a 1-2 month trial period, where you will get to know our team and review the existing training materials and coaching protocols. At the end of this period, we’ll schedule a meeting to discuss the fit and next steps.
If it’s a good match, the ongoing role will involve providing clinical supervision, supporting outreach to universities and other partners, advising on future training content, and helping with safeguarding and clinical governance.
This is a flexible, remote role where we value collaboration and respect for our model, while also welcoming your expertise to enhance the work we do.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: 1-2 Month Paid Trial Period
- Review and provide feedback on existing training materials and coaching protocols for our coaches.
- Attend internal meetings to understand our services and collaborate with the senior management team.
- Participate in a review meeting at the end of the trial period to assess the fit and discuss the next steps for the ongoing role.
Phase 2: Ongoing Role (Upon Mutual Agreement)
- Provide ongoing clinical supervision to coaches.
- Attend meetings with universities and partnering organisations to support partnerships and explore new opportunities.
- Review and advise on future training content and delivery plans.
- Support the organisation's public-facing work, including on the website, in media, or at relevant events, as needed.
- Advise on safeguarding and other areas of clinical governance as needed.
Person Specification
Essential
- HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based approaches suitable for low-intensity support.
- Supportive of increasing access to mental health support through layperson delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, especially when discussing clinical issues with non-clinicians or external stakeholders (e.g., university staff).
- Collaborative and respectful working style.
Desirable
- Experience working in global mental health or lay counselling.
