The Manager, Innovation Strategy and Solutions Lead supports the framing, assessment, recommendation, and implementation of innovative strategies and solutions to bring efficiencies and automation to the clinical development process, under the direction of the Head, Analysis Standards & Innovation. The incumbent will focus on modernizing processes and technology implementation with the ultimate goal of enabling end-to-end solutioning and transformation.
The role requires strong technical and analytical capabilities, particularly in R programming (including Shiny applications and R package development) and preferably Python, with working knowledge of CDISC standards and clinical development workflows. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work independently and collaboratively, combining strategic thinking with technical execution to deliver high-value innovations.
The Manager will partner across GBDS departments and cross-functionally, including but not limited to Global Data Management & Centralized Monitoring, Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Writing, and Technology teams, to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions that align with operational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the framing, assessment, and prioritization of internal and external innovation initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders across GBDS, with a focus on delivering solutions that enhance efficiency and quality across clinical development activities.
Apply expertise in R—including Shiny dashboards and package development—to design and prototype advanced tools and applications to support analytics, automation, and decision-making across GBDS.
Leverage Python to support areas such as DevOps, data engineering, machine learning, or generative AI, where applicable. Familiarity with SAS is a plus for integration with legacy environments.
Provide strategic input on project direction and contribute to the technical architecture of solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with GBDS’ data and analytics strategy.
Partner with GBDS teams to propose, develop, and implement innovative solutions that streamline process execution across biometrics and the broader Global Drug Development organization.
Ensure scientific validity and technical correctness of tools and platforms supporting clinical trial processes, ensuring fitness for regulatory submission and operational use.
Promote solution governance by aligning development with internal policies, stakeholder workflows, and regulatory expectations, including those from FDA, PMDA, and other authorities.
Serve as a departmental expert in CDISC standards, contributing to innovation in standards implementation for protocol development, statistical analysis, and reporting.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including support for the evaluation and integration of new technologies (e.g., automation tools, GenAI, metadata-driven workflows).
Take ownership of cross-functional innovation efforts, from concept development through to implementation, with a strong bias toward rapid prototyping and scaling viable solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, Procurement) and external vendors to identify and prioritize new technical capabilities that advance GBDS’ digital and data objectives.
Contribute to training, communications, and change management activities to promote adoption and user engagement for newly developed tools and platforms.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices across data science, analytics, clinical technology, and regulatory science, and apply this knowledge to optimize internal practices.
Actively participate in external organizations such as CDISC, PhUSE, and similar forums to exchange insights and maintain alignment with emerging regulatory requirements and industry innovations.
Degree Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science or any other scientific field.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical industry.

Role Overview
As the Marketing Manager (Innovation) – Brand Strategy & Digital Marketing, you will be the creative force behind Good Monk’s innovations. You will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives across both digital and offline channels, ensuring brand consistency and driving end-to-end creative campaigns, new product innovations, and robust digital presence. Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Develop and refine the overall brand strategy to drive awareness, credibility, and market leadership for Good Monk’s innovations like – Fruit Drink Mix, Superheroes Milk Mix & future innovations
- Define brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity in collaboration with cross- functional teams.

Creative Ideation & Campaign Development

Process Innovation for Manufacturing: Develop and implement innovative processes to optimize production and enhance operational efficiency. Lead the adoption of advanced technologies in manufacturing processes to reduce downtime and costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and execute process enhancement strategies.

Lean Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering: Conduct man/machine analysis to ensure optimum utilization of plant resources. Perform time studies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in manufacturing processes. Implement lean manufacturing tools such as VSM, SMED, 7QC Tools, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka Yoke, TPM, TQM, OLE, OEE, and 5S Methodology to achieve cost reduction and improved efficiency.

Plant Layout and Capacity Optimization: Analyze current plant capacity and enhance it using lean manufacturing principles. Design new plant layouts based on lean manufacturing techniques to improve workflow and operational efficiency.

In-House Manufacturing Support: Design and oversee the production of in-house manufacturing aids such as trolleys, tables, and bins. Ensure these in-house aids meet high standards for quality and functionality.

MIS and MES Development: Develop and standardize Manufacturing Information Systems (MIS) to ensure streamlined reporting and decision-making. Oversee the implementation and utilization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to optimize production monitoring and control. Ensure real-time and accurate data flow for all major operations through MIS and MES systems.

Training and Development: Conduct structured training programs for operators and staff on lean manufacturing practices and new technologies. Build team competencies to handle advanced production systems and ensure smooth implementation of process changes. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the manufacturing teams.

Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Process Innovation Cell by providing strategic direction and driving alignment with organizational production goals. Mentor and develop team members to build strong capabilities within the department. Communicate effectively with senior management to ensure process innovation projects align with company objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). 8-12 years of experience in process innovation, lean manufacturing, MIS, and MES in the manufacturing sector. Expertise in industrial engineering principles, including man/machine analysis, time studies, and lean methodologies. Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools relevant to process innovation and MES. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills tailored to manufacturing operations. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams. Proven track record of managing and executing process optimization projects in a production environment.
