Key Responsibilities & What will you need to succeed in this role:


• Hands on experience in managing BI/BA/Data teams and working closely with all stakeholders

including Sr management.

• End to End knowledge of Operations management and Business analysis. Collaborate with cross

functional teams to understand business needs, define data requirements, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives, such as market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as

Tableau, Power BI, or similar, to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Support business leaders in making data-driven decisions by presenting insights and

recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and research to address specific business questions and challenges.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create alerts to proactively identify anomalies or

potential issues.

• Drive continuous improvement of BI processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall

effectiveness of the BI function.

• Provide training and support to team members and end-users on BI tools and data analysis

techniques.

• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business

intelligence and data analytics.

• Partner with sales leaders and account managers to understand business needs and develop

actionable insights and recommendations.

• Creating business review decks and presenting to the leadership team.


Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 -12 years of experience in a position monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data, and someone with at least 5 years of experience leading a team.

• Degree in Business Analytics/ Business Administration /Business Communication / Marketing.

• Proven work experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

• Solid understanding of data concepts, data modeling, and database design principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and draw insights from data.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and interpret business requirements.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration techniques.

• Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau and others.


Must have Skills:

• End to End knowledge of Operations management and Business analysis.

• Knowledge of operational analytics and modeling techniques.

• Experience with BI platforms (Power BI, SQL and Looker studio).

• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

• Understanding of Business concepts and business financials.

• Creating business review decks and presenting to the stakeholders.

POSITION SUMMARY: Garmin looking for Qlik sense Admin to join our dynamic team. As a Qlik Sense Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Qlik Sense platform. Ensure effective use and reliability of BI solutions. Works collaboratively to develop and implement global support processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Install and configure Qlik Sense servers and components following best practices. Set up clusters and nodes to ensure high availability and scalability.
Manage Qlik Sense environments, including development, testing, and production instances. Monitor resource usage and optimize configurations for efficient operations.
Implement and manage security measures to protect Qlik Sense applications and data. Define and enforce access controls, authentication, and authorization policies.
Administer user access, licenses, and permissions within the Qlik Sense platform. Monitor license usage and optimize license allocations.
Monitor the performance of Qlik Sense applications and take proactive measures to address issues. Optimize data reload processes and application response times.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for Qlik Sense applications and data. Conduct regular backups to ensure data integrity.
Plan and execute platform upgrades and apply patches as needed. Stay informed about new releases and features, assessing their relevance to the organization.
Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Qlik Sense applications.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.

Provide administrative support for Informatica PowerCenter, including daily system administration, performance tuning and upgrades for global systems.
Daily monitoring, support, troubleshooting and performance tuning for ETL loads.
Develop reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Give and receive feedback in a constructive manner.
Resolve conflicts with little assistance.
Debug user access issues in On Premise and Cloud.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Outstanding academics
Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of technology solutions.
Knowledgeable about the Qlik Platform administration and architecture on an enterprise scale
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to an effective and timely completion.
Experience with Qlik Sense reporting suite administration.
Experience with any ETL tool administration would be a plus.
Basic idea of SQL would be good.
Security implementation, Backup, data recovery and service restoration management, patch and bug fix deployment
Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux and Cloud operating systems administration
Troubleshoot issues, both from a development as well as a performance standpoint
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Superior academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 as a general rule)
Previous experience working in a team environment
Familiarity with Qlik Sense nPrinting
Familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
Familiarity with Kafka or streaming data tools
Familiarity with Java/Shell Scripting
