About the Role
The Hive Careers is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Consultant to join our team on a remote contract basis and work with one of our FMCG clients. This role involves leading the assessment, design, and deployment of automation technologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality.
This is a remote-first role , but occasional on-site travel may be required during critical phases of implementation (travel expenses covered).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a remote audit of existing manufacturing systems and identify automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

**Required technical and professional expertise**
* At least 10+ years of experience in large cloud based environment. Good understanding of the DevOps domain.

* Working knowledge of at least one cloud solution (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell).

The Engineer - Automation will be responsible for the Automation testing to ensure the best quality results. The QA - Automation must design, create and execute test scripts that will be used to validate the quality of software applications. With guidance from Quality leadership, the QA will drive the testing for validating new applications, or changes to existing applications.
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manual testing experience, an understanding of Best Practices and principals of testing
- Experience with various testing methodologies

- Good experience with automated testing tools involving Selenium and Open Source Tools SQL query skills and understanding of database schemas.
