Job Purpose:
To understand and analyze the process of producing low carbon cement and its application including optimization of the production process. To provide technical assistance to cement and associated industries for uptake of low carbon cements.
Key Responsibilities: -
Undertake responsibilities pertaining to the research, production and application of low carbon cement for cement and allied industries.
- To liaise with cement and construction industry and plants in providing process related services of low carbon cements and its application
- Field visits to various cement production and application sites for understanding issues and providing services for rapid uptake of low carbon cements
- Undertake evaluation of raw materials including clinkering process and chemistry
- Undertake evaluation and understanding of clay calcination process and chemistry
- Good understanding of cement hydration chemistry and the use of supplementary cementitious materials in production
- Demonstrate and support commercial deployment of knowledge and technologies and products with commercial companies
- Ensure quality assurance of reports and their timely delivery with clients and internal satisfaction.
- Increasing the visibility of work being done and developing relationship with customers/clients to ensure repeated work
- Writing proposals as per the requirement of funding agency(s)
